Monday February 12 Update On “Modern Homemaker” Episode 140-142

Kanhaiya in the police station is writing something and Bajrangi asks Kanhaiya where has everyone in the family left and who are these new people? He further tells Kanhaiya that the whole colony is saying that they are his real family and asks if it is true?

Kanhaiya gets angry asking them to stop it and asks them to only do their duty here and then stop himself when he almost address himself as Kanhaiya Chatur..  He asks them to do their work. Kanhaiya recalls Sona’s words and is upset while a constable brings in a suspect and he says he did not do anything while the constable says that he is lying. Kanhaiya who is watching this gets angry and starts hitting the suspect asking if he is lying to a police? The other constables tries to stopped Kanhaiya as he starts hitting the guy and says in anger that he would tolerate anything but not lies. At Daadi’s house, Daadi console Sona that so many things happened and she didn’t tell her anything? Sona says everything happened so fast and she don’t know what to say and that what happened to her today as he himself suspected her and Sona cries. As Kanhaiya walks into the house, Chitrasi asks Kanhaiya to sit down to eat and she will serve him. He asks where Sona is and Chitrasi remains silent. Kanhaiya asks again and Chitrasi tells him that Sona had gone to her Daadi’s house because of what happened today. Kanhaiya says after doing everything, she went to meet her Daadi?

Chitrasi holds Kanhaiya’s hands and comes closer to him saying she knows he is angry and he needs to cool down. Kanhaiya gets a phone call and walks away while Chitrasi smiles. Daadi tells Sona that she needs to go back fast and since there is a mis-understanding between her and Kanhaiya, they need to sit and discuss things and proudly says her Sona is very strong, she would not give up and she have trust in her. Sona says he don’t wish to listen to her and Daadi says she can understand but she need to get rid of this mis-understanding else it will grow bigger. Sona starts thinking and wipes her tears. Chitasi holds a towel in her hands and enters Kanhaiya’s room, she enters the bathroom and leaves it unlock. Kanhaiya enters the room and heads to the bathroom and sees Chitrasi changing. He leaves the bathroom and Chitrasi smiles. As Kanhaiya is walking out, he sees Sona. While Sona tried to tell him to listen, she is shocked to see Chitrasi walking out of the bathroom adjusting her saree. Kanhaiya says he didn’t know and Chitrasi tells Kanhaiya that it's not his mistake but it's her mistake as she thought after he got the call, he have left. She then explain that the heater in her room was not working and that’s why she came here but she forgot to lock the door and it was her mistake. She apologize to him and Kanhaiya says since she didn’t do it on purpose then there is no need to apologize. Sona watches all this with teary eyes and Chitrasi leaves the room. Sona keeps looking at Kanhaiya and he avoids looking at Sona. Kanhaiya says he has something important at the police station and leaves while Sona is stunned.

Later in the night, Chitrasi hears Kanhaiya’s motorbike sound, she peeps and sees him through the door. Chitrasi immediately goes and pulls off the power plug fius and lights a candle. She takes the pallu of her saree and sets it on fire while Kanhaiya walks inside, he sees Chitrasi’s saree on fire and runs towards her and tries putting off the fire. He somehow manages to put off the fire and Chitrasi hugs him while Sona comes downstairs and is shocked to see this. He asks Chitrasi not to be worried and consoles her. Sideshwar, Bheema, Kamal and Deva enters inside saying all the other houses has electricity and why only theirs doesn’t has? Everyone is shocked to see Kanhaiya and Chitrasi hugging and enters inside.

Chitrasi says she don’t know how her saree got on fire and if not for Kanhaiya, she don’t know what would have happened to her. Chitrasi says that because of her, he got his hands burned. Siddeshwar thanks Kanhaiya for saving Chitrasi. Kanhaiya tells his father Siddeshwar that he is insulting him by thanking him as it's his responsibility. Deva and Bheema looks wondering while Siddeshwar asks Chitrasi to return to her room. Kamal fixes the light and Deva tells Kanhaiya that he hopes he is not playing games with them. Kanhaiya asks what did he mean. Siddeshwar gets angry with Deva saying Kanhaiya have saved Chitrasi’s life and asks what is he saying? Deva says that he is not wrong as Kanhaiya talked about responsibility and asks why have he not accepted Chitrasi as his wife yet? He adds that that one side he thinks of Sona as his wife and on the other side he wants Chitrasi too. An upset Kanhaiya shouts what Deva is saying and Siddeshwar asks both of them to cool down.

Siddeshwar asks Kanhaiya to return to his room and he walks pass Sona while Chitrasi is smilling. Sona leaves to her room while Kanhaiya is searching for medicine in his room. Sona asks him to sit and holds him while Kanhaiya pushes off Sona’s hands and keeps looking around. Sona takes the medicine and gives it to him, he takes it from Sona’s hands and applies it on himself while Sona watches. Kanhaiya asks Sona to apply it for him and Sona applies the medicine for him while he feels pain. He asks Sona if what Deva said is right? Sona remains silent and he asks what can he do as everything was against her. He apologize to her and Sona says it's alright as she know that he was also sad when all this is happening but to please trust her. She again says its alright, as these happens and that what Deva said about him is not right and Sona leaves the room after telling him this. Sona enters the kitchen where Chitrasi is cooking and Sona says she will cook for Kanhaiya since he had saved her today. Sona recalls Kanhaiya and Chitrasi hugging. Chitrasi says that she can understand Sona’s situation and asks if Kanhaiya is still angry with her? Sona says yes and Chitrasi looks at her. Sona says that she didn’t do anything to the saree and she has no proof for that. Sona adds that she saw the snake and it fell on her and wonders where could it have gone missing all of sudden. Chitrasi thinks to herself that the snake is still in Sona’s room and if Sona finds it, she would be in trouble.

Sona tells Chitrasi that she really saw the snake and wonders how come Chitrasi didn’t saw it. Chitrasi started thinking that the fake snake is still in Sona’s room and she needs to do something before someone else finds it. She asks Sona to forget what happened as she knows that Sona is not wrong and the family will need to accept her soon and this is what she wants. Chitrasi leaves and as she is about to enter Sona’s room, she sees Kanhaiya in the room and thinks to herself that she needs to take the fake snake away from the room before someone else finds it or she will be caught. Chitrasi sees a broom and enters the room with the broom. Kanhaiya asks why is she there and Chitrasi says that she had come to clean the room and she starts sweeping. Kanhaiya says it's already night, and she can clean it tomorrow. Chitrasi says its alright that she will still clean it. She asks if she can off the fan. Kanhaiya switches off the fan and she faster sweeps under the bed and takes out the fake snake. Kanhaiya switches the fan and sees her bending down near the bed, he then asks what she is doing?

Chitrasi tries to cover the fake snake while Kanhaiya says there is no need to trouble herself doing the cleaning and she can do it the next morning. Chitrasi starts thinking, she starts walking and suddenly pretends to fall down and immediately grabs the fake snake and hides it in her saree while Kanhaiya doesn’t notices this. Chitrasi leaves the room and Kanhaiya asks her to stop and Chitrasi starts getting worried. Kanhaiya walks to her, he starts looking at her and asks Chitrasi to give it to him. She gets scared and Kanhaiya again asks her to give it to him. A scared Chitrasi asks to give what and Kanhaiya tells her to give him the broom which she gives and leaves. While Sona is talking on the phone to her Daadi saying that she didn’t like how Deva spoke today and if his own family member speaks like this, what would an outsider do? Daadi says something has to be done to solve this and they need to firstly make Chitrasi’s life better and there is a way for this. She suggests Sona to get Chitrasi re-married! Siddeshwar raises his voice asking why will Chitrasi’s re-marriage? Everyone is in the main hall hear his voice and Siddeshwar says he hope that Sona has not lost her mind as Chitrasi is their family daughter-in-law and asks what would people say?

Chitrasi however is controlling her anger while Deva tells Sona not to act smart as they all know that Sona wants to get rid of Chitrasi by hook or by crook. Sona tells Deva that he can think anything he want about her but this is about Chitrasi’s future as she. have no other meaning and she only want goodness for Chitrasi. She tells Babu ji that he always say that Chitrasi is his daughter and he want her to live without any companion? She adds that Chitrasi has a life too and she needs to live it and that the society will keep saying things no matter what they do. Chitrasi thinks to herself that Sona madam is talking too much. Kanhaiya tell his father Babuji,  that what Sona is saying is right and no one can change the fact that Sona is his wife and she will always remain to be his wife. He don’t like to see Chitrasi like this and Kanhaiya walks to Chitrasi asking Chitrasi to think about this. Siddeshwar says that before he make any decisions, he wants to know what Chitrasi’s opinion is about this and walks to her.

Siddeshwar asks what Chitrasi decision is and she remains silent. Kanhaiya asks her to just tell them what she feel and Chitrasi pause for a moment and says that she is ready. Hearing this, both Kanhaiya and Sona smiles while the rest are shocked. Sona says this is good and assured them that she will speak to the pundit tomorrow for them to look for a groom. An upset Deva then says if there is anyone who needs to leave the house, it is Sona and not Chitrasi. Kanhaiya stares at him while Deva, Bheema and Kamal leaves the main hall in anger. Chitrasi keeps staring at Sona and holds a fork tightly in her hands that ends up hurting her hand till she is bleeding. The next day, a groom’s family come to meet Chitrasi and says that they are happy to get a girl like Chitrasi for their family.

Siddeshwar says that the pandit can start looking for a good date. The groom’s father asks for huge amount of dowry, car and a house after the marriage which shocked everyone. Kanhaiya gets angry saying that asking for dowry is against the law and if they still want to ask for dowry, they are breaking the rules. The groom’s father says he maybe a police officer but he should not forget, they are doing good by accepting Chitrasi for their son despite this being her second marriage. The pundit asks the groom’s father to cool down and the groom’s father says that he is doing good for them. He continues that Kanhaiya is talking about rules while he himself is getting his first wife to re-marry. Deva gets angry listening to this and asks them to leave while the groom’s father says that he don’t wish to remain here too and to take his words, that no one would marry her. An upset Kamal says that he have said what he wanted, he asks him to leave from here and the family leaves. Chitrasi cries saying she know that happiness is not written in her fate and only sadness is her fate. Deva says all this is because of Sona as she wanted to embarrass Chitrasi and she did it! Kamal says that he is right that Sona did all this on purpose. Kanhaiya gets angry listening to his brothers and asks all of them to stop blaming his wife and why would Sona think bad of her? Bheema asks Kanhaiya to fear god and stop supporting Sona.

Siddeshwar asks everyone to stop fighting as this is his house and not Mahabarat.
Siddeshwar tells Sona that if she had did this on purpose, he will not forgive her. Till he don’t get any proof for this, he will not say anything. He adds that what happened today is really sad and he had never faced such an insult like this before and that Chitrasi is also sad today which he can’t stand and Siddeshwar leaves. Deva and Bheema leaves the main hall too while Sona tries consolling a crying Chitrasi. Later in the night, Shakuntala feeds Chitrasi sweets saying they won again and Chitrasi says that she should have seen Sona’s face and both starts laughing. Chitrasi says that she will never lose the property at any cause and that’s why once Sona made the wedding plan, she called to her ( Shakuntala ). Shakuntala says that once Chitrasi informed her, she waited for the family to arrive. Shakuntala adds that she gives a letter to a small kid to pass to the groom’s father and he reads the letter. Chitrasi says that because of the letter, they won and just see how her daughter moves her next game and Kanhaiya will be her forever.

Kanhaiya comes running down the stairs calling out Sona’s name. He plead with her to get him his breakfast so he can leave for the police station. Sona replied him that his breakfast is ready, his tea, his fruits, and his bread. The moment Kanhaiya sits down at the table, Sona notices Chitrasi and calls her name. She asks where she is going? Chitrasi lie that she had taken a vow that she would go to the temple to pray and feed the poor. Only after that will she eat something and going to the temple has become a habit of her and that she don’t find peace without going to the temple. Sona asks who will she go with and point out that no one is at home. She then offer to come with her. Kanhaiya also offer to drop her and pick her up. Chitrasi refuses saying they don’t have to get worried because of her and that she will go on her own. Kanhaiya says he know she can go alone, but he will drop her. Sona adds that she will come too and that way she can also pray. Chitrasi agrees saying she will be right back. Sona tells her husband that she made a mistake and she should have left her go alone. Kanhaiya asks why? Sona says when people see him and her together they’ll talk about it.

Kanhaiya asks if she doubt him? Sona says no but he heard now. She reminds him that Deva even said it and he’s from the family and still, she don’t know what the outside people will say seeing them together and she don’t like it if anyone talks anything wrong about him. Kanhaiya then tell her that she don’t need to think so much about these things and asks if is forgiven about the saree incident? Sona asks what is he saying? She says she should ask for his forgiveness as she spoke with him very rudely. Chitrasi is shown pouring some juice into two glasses. She starts talking to herself that she knew that Sona would come in between and she will also see how she comes with them. She puts a pill inside a glass of juice and mixes it in it.

Kanhaiya tells her that she don't need to apologize. Sona tells him to have some breakfast. Chitrasi comes back and offer them to have some juice. Sona ask why did she take the trouble? Chitrasi explain to her that it's really hot outside and because of that it is necessary to keep the brain cool. Sona takes a glass and starts drinking. Kanhaiya takes a sip from his glass. Sona finishes most of the juice and tells him to have his too. Kanhaiya starts drinking more. Sona finishes her juice, he thanks Chitrasi and asks if they can go? Everyone gets up and starts walking towards the door. Sona starts feeling a bit dizzy. Kanhaiya ask Sona, what happened?

Chitrasi take her inside. Sona says maybe she ate something wrong last night and says if she take some rest, she will be fine. Chitrasi tells Kanhaiya to stay with her, and she will go on her own. Sona tells them to go that she will be fine. Kanhaiya refuses. Sona decline him and tells him to with her. She further tells him that she hasn’t even eaten anything and asks him not to worry about her. She assured him that she will be fine soon. Kanhaiya pet her to take care of herself. Kanhaiya walks out. Chitrasi also tells her to take care of herself. Sona tell her not to worry. Chitrasi leaves.
