BREAKING: INEC issues Certificate of Return to Johnbosco Akaegbobi, Other Anambra State Assembly Members Elect

The 30 elected members of the Anambra State House of Assembly, including Hon. Johnbosco Akaegbobi (Nnewi South Constituency II) have received their certificates of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) following their victory at the State House of Assembly Election held on Saturday 9th, March, 2019.


Recall that Hon. Johnbosco Akaegbobi of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), defeated the incumbent Speaker of the State Assembly, Mrs Rita Maduagwu who is reportedly heading to Court to challenge the victory.

The Hon Resident Electoral Commissioner, Nkwachukwu Orji said the issuance of the certificates to the elected state house of assembly members concludes all the electoral activities in the State.

He commended Anambra State as one of the most peaceful state in Nigeria where election was held peacefully.
