The acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Mohammed, has inaugurated 250 members of the National Assembly, governorship and state assembly election petition tribunals.
At the swearing-in ceremony which took place in Abuja on Saturday, the acting CJN urged the members of the election tribunals to discharge their duties with integrity, as well as the fear of God.
The development comes barely 24 hours after President Muhammadu Buhari suspended Justice Walter Onnoghen as the Chief Justice of Nigeria and swore in Mohammed as acting CJN.
More details later.
