In Buhari, Festus Kayemo has become a Colossal Failure, Tufiakwa! By Tobenna Obiano

Some may have knowledge, education or intellect, yet choose to foolishly ditch it. This is one of those saddening moments when even one’s intellectual or educational status may not save them.

Mr. Festus Kayemo has since become such a bad example, no one should ever emulate. Infact, he’s become a shocker and puts up such disgraceful posts that shocks the sane, stupefies the smart, knocks off the sound and ridicules the thinking faculties of the intelligent.

Many of us once loved the human rights lawyer and sound advocate of the people. We used to take his words very seriously. We use to even revere and look up to him as a model, but not any more. What has become of the man is a terrible disaster.

As the saying goes - when you eat, you don’t talk; when the mouth is full, you don’t talk. You therefore feed without talking, loot without noise. This seems to be where Mr. Kayemo has fallen into.

There’s nothing as disheartening, discouraging, stupefying, saddening and heartbreaking more than when people claim to feel nothing, see nothing, hear nothing and obviously choose to say nothing, even as many things are happening, sadly also, on the wrong side and tide. Mr. Keyamo has lost his voice at a time when we needed it most.

What moral justification does Mr. Festus Kayemo, SAN or anyone even in his rank and height or anyone else have to praise, appreciate and celebrate the President Muhammad Buhari administration. For heaven’s sake, what one thing has this administration gotten right? What and which exactly?

In power, it’s a failure! Water supply, unfounded! Safe roads, no! Infrastructural development, no way! Economy, zero! Agriculture, laughable! Youth development, impossible! Honesty and trueness, tale of lies and fantasies! Health, why? Our aviation, a ridiculous joke! Education, disaster! Job creation, heartbreaking! Fight against corruption, witch hunt! Security, catastrophic! What one thing has this Government done and done exceptionally well.

In what became incredible, a few months ago, young Nigerians on the new media, Twitter challenged supporters of Buhari to name just one, not two, not three, not to make a list; just to name one, a single project even if it’s infrastructure that this administration has conceptualized, committed into, continued and commissioned. It’s shocking that not even a single serious-minded person has mentioned one project. Not one!

The Nigerian problem majorly is leadership, where those who occupy positions of power wouldn’t lead with personal examples, into proving their intellectual know-how, their smartness and their willspirit in carrying everyone along, this which are the hallmark of true leadership. Buhari has since become exactly what no leader should ever become. He’s a very bad example in leadership. He’s not fit to mentor, tutor or be featured in any outing regarding to true leadership.

In a shocking height, the Presidency gives this body language that shows pity, solidarity and maybe also, support for that Islamization of Nigeria project, for if not, how can the security of this nation not be able to stop the Fulani killer squad that masquerade themselves as herdsmen. They now on a daily basis torment, torture, abuses, assault, rape, loot, destroy properties and farmlands, then in extreme circumstance, they murder their victims. What does the Government do about all those? Set up a committee to investigate, which turns to a jamboree of sort.

And this is the man who Mr. Kayemo stands out to support. Kayemo should shut up and sit down. He should take several sits, and hide his face in shame. Do these guys even think? Does he even care about the future? Does he even envisage what is to come? What about posterity? What about lasting legacies? For crying out loud, in years to come, what would he be remembered for?

On what moral grounds does Mr. Kayemo stand to speak good of the Buhari led adminriation. He has proven beyond every reasonable doubt that he’s a hypocrite and a man without honor, class nor integrity. It’s such a shameful one for a man of his status. What legacy does he plan to leave behind?

Mr. Kayemo by this singular act of speaking up in support of this failed administration has proven to be a shameless hypocrite. Some even respected Nigerians aren’t worthy of such respect that they carry. Mediocrity has dealt a terrible blow on this man, and many in his class.

Who even chose to bring Festus Keyamo and former Education Minister, Oby Ezekwesili to thesame show. The class difference was felt, where Keyamo might be carried away in his plutonic world of fantasy, overtaken by the euphoria of vainglorious and ostentatious appraisal of what may have become for him, the wonders of the Buhari led administration, Oby Ezekwesili took him to the cleaners, schooling him with facts and figures and returning him where he rightfully belongs.

And sadly, that man is supposed to be a Senior Advocate of Nigeria. Oh well, Vice President Yemi Osibanjo is not only a SAN, a Professor but also a Pastor! In acts and dealings, that man can’t lead anyone to any god.

How the mighty has fallen. The once respected, revered & beloved scholar & erudite Lawyer, Festus Kayemo has turned to a colossal failure.

Sadly, he chose this inglorious path laden with lies, deceit, gross incompetence in high places and corruption redefined.

In the vast majority, Barr. Festus Kayemo has lost our respect! Shame!‬
