As Nigerians celebrate this year's Democracy Day, the Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Rita Maduagwu says the country needs fervent prayer to surmount the political, economic and religious challenges facing the masses.
In her goodwill message to mark the Day, Barrister Maduagwu enjoined various religious bodies to always remember the government and people of the country in prayer, noting that with collective efforts of the Nigerian citizens, the country would experience peace and record more achievements in all sectors of the nation's economy.
The Speaker who decried the marginalization of Ndigbo in the scheme of things in the country, called on the Federal Government to commence the reconstruction of all the Federal roads in the Southeast zone as part of their share of the nation's Democracy dividends and adopt all recommendations of Ndigbo in the country's restructuring agenda.
