Januzaj Joins Real Sociedad From Manchester United For €10m

LaLiga club Real Sociedad have signed forward Adnan Januzaj from Manchester United, both clubs confirmed on Wednesday.

Sociedad confirmed Januzaj’s arrival in a short video on their Twitter handle, while United released a statement on their official website to announce the 22-year-old Belgian’s departure.

Januzaj is believed to have cost Sociedad €9.8m while United are thought to have a buy back clause.

“Thank you to some of the coaches and staff that work at Manchester United to make it such a great club!” Januzaj in a Twitter post.

“Unfortunately, my time at the club has come to an end and it didn’t go the way I wanted it to go but I will always have love for Manchester United.”

Januzaj burst onto the scene at United in the 2013/2014 season under David Moyes but subsequently struggled after the Scot left before the end of that season. He spent the majority of the last two seasons out on loan at Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland respectively.
