Pictures from the night, which took place at the White House, reveal the 47-year-old First Lady having fun alongside husband US President Donald Trump.

The Mary Katrantzou ‘osmond grid’ print dress she wore was white in colour and featured lines in all different colours.

It was sleeveless and knee-length, with two small slits up the front, and fastened at the waist with a burgundy belt.

She matched the dress with a pair of light pink heels and wore her hair down in loose waves.
