UPDATED: Biafra@50: Business activities grounded in all markets across South East [See Photos]

Markets in major cities in the South Eastern States of Nigeria are all locked today, May 30th as MASSOB, IPOB celebrate 50th anniversary since Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu declared a sovereign state of Biafra.

Some traders were seen loitering around their markets to see if they would be allowed to open, while some decided to go home for the day.

The market include: Nkpor, Mgbuka Obosi, Electronics market, Drugs market, Bridge Head, Timber market, Tools market and building material market ogidi, all in Anambra State.

Douglas road and new market Owerri are totally deserted

Same as Enugu, Aba, Obigbo in Port Harcourt, and so on. More updates to follow.
