Some members of Anambra union in the morgue on Tuesday before his body departed South Africa |
According to one of the members of Anambra union who spoke to our correspondent in South Africa on Tuesday, his body has already departed from South Africa en route to Nigeria through Ethiopia, "we just left mortuary few minutes ago, most of our members (Anambra union) sacrificed their time and money to make sure Chibuike's body touched down his home country, though he wasn't in the union before his death but there's no way we could abandon our own brother here.

May his soul rest in peace |
"A lot of people rendered financial help starting from the day autopsy was carried out till today even without meeting him in life. It's very unfortunate that we lost him, but like I told you earlier, we're going to follow this case till the end because you don't know who's next. The autopsy result clearly showed that he was choked to death and there's no way the police can deny that in court because relevant agencies were present when the autopsy was done." he said.
According to the deceased brother who spoke to our correspondent in Nigeria, he would be buried before the Easter holidays at his hometown in Anambra State.
Chibuike Okafor was murdered in cold blood by South African Policemen during a raid in Durban Central, Kwazulu-Natal, a popular South Africa city on Friday March 17th, 2017. He's from Ukpor, Nnewi South LGA, Anambra State. May his soul rest in peace.
