Opinion On State Of The Nation: Party Politics Is Destroying Nigeria

While some people voted Buhari because they sincerely believed he would do better considering the mouthwatering promises he made during the elections, some others voted him because of their personal interest which includes among other things tribal, religious and political interest.

These group of persons are the problem with Nigeria. Not one thing got better under this government. I expect the Nigerians who voted him when Dollar exchanged for N216 and petrol sold for N87 to be more angry than anyone else considering that we have now gone from bad to worse.

Shockingly, these group of people are calm as ever when their "SAVE NIGERIA" attitude is most needed. What we need to do as a country is to get over the guilt of voting out the last administration which makes us feel like we deserve what we are witnessing now, and that way, we can better prepare ourselves for the next election where we can demonstrate once again that incompetence like corruption can be voted out.

For the so-called rich who may not be bothered about the present state of affairs, remember that the so-called poor becomes a threat to your enjoyment if the situation gets out of hand.

There are professors and successful career  and business men and women in all parts of Nigeria who can turn things around. Party politics is destroying this country and we have had enough of it already.

The youths of this country must be given a chance to participate in government and should be worried that our "fathers" are accumulating more debt than wealth for the next generation. The senate should not approve the borrowing of approximately $30B by this government, but should instead encourage this government to roll up it's sleeves and work.

Whether Hausa, Fulani, Igbo, Yoruba, South-South, Middle belt, people are hungry and hunger does not know tribe!Comparing the past government with this one without bias, nothing has CHANGED, so voting Buhari for president was a mistake that should not have happened, suggesting that he should run again for 2019 is plain silly.
