It was gathered that the driver of the Honda Odyssey was buried underground for several hours before the rescue team came to evacuate them.

Eyewitness said the driver of the truck, with number plates LSD 232 IA, survived.

Eyewitness attributed the incident to break failure of the truck and the recklessness of another truck driver(Tipper) who was offloading sand close to the expressway.

According to them, when people noticed the high speed with which the truck was moving, they started running for their lives, but occupants of the ill-fated car were not lucky enough.

The eyewitness added that a few seconds after that, he rammed into the car, which was heading towards Isseke.

The body of the deceased had since been deposited in the morgue.

Some members Of the Nigerian Police Force were at the scene when our reporter arrived, they promised to investigate the incident.
