The Senator representing Anambra central at the red chamber, Iyom Uche Ekwunife has paid a courtesy visit to the governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo at the state capital in Awka. Read what she wrote below:
It's Anambra first!
Earlier today, I led a delegation of Ndi #AnambraCentral Senatorial District, comprising of Ndi Igwe, Presidents General of Anambra Central communities, President and members of Ohaneze Ndigbo in the State and other stakeholders, to pay a courtesy visit to the Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo.
The visit was to formally congratulate Mr Governor on his victory and inauguration as the 6th Executive Governor of Anambra state. The Governor's emergence can best be described as the will of God - a reflection of the wishes of the people.
It is my belief that the aspirations and wishes of Ndi Anambra must always supersede our respective partisan interests.
While I assured the Governor of the partnership of my office in moving the state forward, I encourage religious, traditional and political leaders irrespective of party affiliation to rally round the governor and work for the actualization of the vision, goals and dreams of the state's founding fathers, particularly at this perilous time.
Regardless of the challenges we face, the Light of the Nation must shine, and it must shine brightly!
