Senator Ubah preaches peace, tolerance as he meets traditional rulers

The Senator representing Anambra South, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah on Saturday, urged various communities in the Senatorial District to continue living in peace with one another. Senator Ubah made the plea during the Annual Retreat of Anambra South Traditional Rulers Forum which took place at Eagle Destiny Hotel Ihiala.


Addressing the Royal Fathers, Senator Ubah maintained that development can only be achieved in a peaceful environment and urged them to sustain the existing peace in the District,and live in harmony with all residents regardless of their ethnicity or religion.

Speaking briefly on his Senatorial Outing, Senator Ubah maintained that promotion of the interests of ndị Igbo and Nigerians in general remains his priority. He further informed them about his efforts towards promotion of the economy like his recent motion aimed at protection of the interests of our indigenous airlines. The Anambra South Senator further assured them that after the present Senate recess, he will consolidate the efforts with quality Bills sponsorship.


Responding to Senator Ubah, the Royal Fathers unanimously thanked him for utilizing the short period he has been at the Upper Chamber. They also prayed for him and asked God to keep blessing him with wisdom to enable him continue giving the people quality representation.

The Retreat was well attended by traditional rulers from the seven Local Government Areas of the Anambra South Senatorial District.
