Frontline Kogi PDP Guber Aspirant, Mohammed Shaibu Picks Party Nomination Form

Following the closure of sale of nomination forms of the Peoples' Democratic Party in view of the November 2019 gubernatorial elections in Kogi State, Nigeria's foremost boardroom guru, Mohammed Adah Shaibu Tettes yesterday joined the ranks of duly recognized aspirants.


Tettes who was received by the National Organising Secretary of the PDP, Col. Austin Akobundu at about 3:00pm was joined by hundreds of supporters and coordinators from the 21 LGA's in Kogi State.

Prominent citizens and statesmen from Kogi State as well as members of the strategic trust council of his campaign group who were present.

The ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Sylvester Nda Jubril of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof. Sam Ale of the Ahmadu Bello University, Rtd. Col. Andrew Idachaba, Dr. Maryam Ahmed, Prof. Suleiman Aruwa and Dr. David Sani of the Department of Petroleum Resources.

Delivering a remark on His agenda for the state, Mohammed Shaibu disclosed that emphasis will be on immediate payment of the 40 months outstanding wages and pension as well as resolving the insecurity challenge of the state.


While presenting the party with his policy document, Mohammed Shaibu Tettes noted that Kogi State is long overdue for progress and only an individual with a strong vision, capacity and clarity of purpose can re-engineer the state with focus on agriculture, infrastructure, rural development and other core areas like youth development.

He concluded by assuring the PDP of His willingness to go all out, campaign for votes and make the votes count by protecting them.

On the other hand, Col. Austin Akobundu on behalf of the PDP assured Him of a level playing ground, neutrality and commitment to ensuring a credible primary election.
