Grand reception for Mrs Comfort Atuchukwu as she celebrates 60th birthday and successful retirement

When a woman has shown an incredible resourcefulness over time, worked assiduously to achieve her dream and aspirations, distinguished herself among her peers and recorded enviable success in life, you reckon that every day and every new year of her life will be marked with an immeasurable sense of gratitude.


This is perhaps why the children, friends and well-wishers of Mrs Comfort Atuchukwu (JP), a native of Amichi in Nnewi South L.G.A, rolled out the drum in style to celebrate her 60th birthday and retirement from civil service after 35 years.

Mrs Comfort Atuchukwu, alias 'Ocheze' started her teaching career 35 years ago at Dennis Memorial Grammar School. She was later transferred to Army Day Secondry School, QRC and finally Eastern Academy secondary school all in Onitsha, Anambra State. She is a devoted Anglican who bagged various awards in Niger Diocese and Amichi Diocese. She attended Ozubulu girls secondary school and the popular University of Lagos.

She tutored the likes of NEST Oil boss and CEO of Obi Jackson Group, Dr. Ernest Azudialu-Obiejesi, the APGA senatorial aspirant for Anambra South, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and host of others.


Mrs Atuchukwu is married to Late Chief Nto Atuchukwu and blessed with four children which include: Hon. Chuddy Atuchukwu (JP), PDP house of Assembly aspirant for Nnewi South Constituency 1 and Managing Director Seltech International, Estate Managers & Developers. Others are Mr Nnabuike Atuchukwu (Diamond Bank Lagos), Mr Ntomchukwu Atuchukwu of Lyn Edge Pharmaceutical Ltd and Mr Kosisochukwu Atuchukwu of Haano Industries Lagos.

Her 3 Daughter's in-law and 9 grandchildren were not left out in the celebration.

The event which took place at the auditorium of Eastern Academy Onitsha attracted people from all over the country. Highlights were presentation of full portrait by Women Ministry of Amazing Grace Church, tributes by her first grandchild Chizitelubiafra Atuchukwu, drama presentation by students of Eastern Academy Secondary school, perfomances by Banana Women Dance troop and testimonies by her students from Army Day Secondary School 1998 set and DMGS 1986/1987 set.

In attendance were the Anambra House of Assembly member elect for Nnewi South Constituency 2, Hon. Johnbosco Akaegbobi, members of State Education Commission, Sir Joe Atuchukwu, the Anambra State PDP Chiarman, Ndubisi Nwobu and Prince Azubike iloh. Others were the Nnewi South PDP Chairman, Hon. Arinze Chukwudebelu, Engr. Ebifemi Omoyeni and Principals of various School in Anambra State.
