MONDAY MARCH 11TH 2019 UPDATE ON GANGAA

The episode begins with Gangaa telling them that Amma ji does not mean it because she is angry and If she feels at peace after cursing me then I don’t have any problem. Am I right Amma ji? Amma ji says you enjoy rubbing salt to our wounds. You are taunting us now as you got a chance. If it was up to you then we would all have been inside jail. You are unhappy to see us outside, right? Raghav ji says what you are saying. You all got bail because of Ganga only.  She met everyone, went everywhere and requested, begged everyone. She gave her personal guarantee and that is how you all got bail finally. Everyone is shocked. Niru looks at Ganga. Yadav ji confirms it. Ganga only got you all bailed on her personal guarantee. Amma ji asks her why she dint get Sagar out then. You call him your friend and you can do anything for him. You even put vermilion on your forehead for his life. What happened to your oath now? I want Sagar like always. I want him back. Bring him back for me anyhow. I wont hear anything. If you don’t get him out then I will die! Throw away this old woman’s lifeless body somewhere then. She cries. I want my grandson. Niru comforts her. Ganga says you are right. I only have brought your grandson back every time. I only will get him out this time too. Sagar will come back. I will bring him back. This is my promise to you and to myself!

Ganga is with Yadav ji. I know Sagar is innocent. He can never do anything which can cause problem for anyone. There must be some way to save him. Yadav ji denies. I already told Niru I wont be able to help Sagar in this case. The note that Janvi left puts him in a tight spot. Plus the doubt comes on in-laws only if anything happens to the DIL before the 7 years of her marriage is complete. I wont even want injustice to happen with Sagar in this case. I am sure some other good lawyer will defend and free him. It’s a lost case. Ganga requests him not to leave the case in the middle. You are Babu’s friend. you cannot do this to him. You are such a big lawyer. You can do a lot if you try. He politely declines. She sadly leaves. Amma ji cries at home for Sagar. Someone bring him back or I will die. Sudha tells her to calm down. This is a problem for everyone. How will Madhvi manage herself if you break down? Niru ji is trying his best.

Nothing will happen to Sagar. Amma ji nods. Maharaj ji brings milk for them but neither Amma ji not Madhvi takes it. Sudha tries to make Amma ji understand but she stays put.
Pulkit brings Supriya home. Madhvi goes to the other side of the house to ask about Supriya and the baby. Pulkit says there is some weakness. Amma ji makes Maharaj ji bring fruits. It isn’t good to have an empty stomach in this situation. Supriya asks her if she ate anything. Everyone goes quiet. Supriya asks Madhvi as well. Supriya refuses to eat without them. Pulkit takes her inside. Madhvi says this isn’t right. Supriya has to take care of the baby. If she wont eat then! Ganga is on her way home. She thinks of lawyer’s words and of her promise to Amma ji. Who will fight Saagr’s case now? Who to ask for help? Sagar has been with me always in every problem. I cannot do anything today when you are in problem. I don’t know who to ask help from. Who can help you get justice?

Pulkit wants to bring something for Supriya to eat but she refuses. Amma ji, MAdhvi, Sudha and Maharaj ji come there. Don’t act careless. This is not just your baby but the heir of our family. what can we do if your husband fought with us? This is our right. He cannot snatch it from us. Maharaj ji brings juice for her but Supriya shakes her head. I wont eat without all of you. First you all will eat and then I will. Everyone is touched. Amma ji agrees. She feeds apple to Madhvi. She sits down to feed Supriya next when Madhvi feeds her apple. Supriya finally eats from Amma ji’s hands. Sudha is relieved. Palash is getting ready. His mom says Sagar’s family is back. I met Maharaj ji in market. He said everyone is worried and shaken. Hope no enemy even gets to see such a day. Sagar is such a nice boy. I don’t believe it that he can do this. What do you think?

He instead asks for the tea in her hand. She asks him for reply. You help the world get justice. Sagar is your good friend and Ganga’s childhood friend. Maharaj ji said she has roamed in every corner of the city and met everyone. Why don’t you do anything for them? He says I am not their lawyer. She says what then. Ganga is your would be wife. That family has raised her up. She will be worried for them. He thinks of what he saw on the day of incident. He holds his mother’s hand. You might get hurt hearing what I will just tell you. Ganga, who you want to make your DIL, she! Ganga storms in just then. Will you fight Sagar’s case? Only you can save him. I have come here with hope. Palash’s mom says yes but he tells her to let him handle it. Please bring water for Ganga.

She goes inside. Palash says Niru is not a normal person. He is high court judge. He can hire way better and experienced lawyer to save his son. Why me then? She says that after reading Janvi’s suicide note no one is ready to take the case. You fight with zeal for truth. I haven’t seen it in anyone else. You will fight this case, right? She folds her hands before him. Please save my Sagar. Palash’s mom hears it as well. Palash notices her too. Why should I save Sagar? As far as I know him, he is very impulsive, short tempered kind of person. Ganga denies. he is kiddish and short tempered but he cannot hurt anyone ever. He asks Ganga if he never hurt her or his family never misbehaved with her. She says whatever he did to me is between him and me. Whoever told you about his family ill-treating me has obviously told a lie. I am standing on my feet today because of that family only. If it wasn’t for Babu then I would have been either in a widow ashram or died. Bahu ji and Amma ji loved me immensely. He says sagar showed you so many dreams but married Janvi.

You still trust him? If it was any other girl in your place then she wouldn’t have looked at him even. Why are you still pleading and begging me to save him? The Ganga I know has not bent down before anyone. She is a person who loves her self-esteem over everything else. You talk today of saving Sagar before me by folding your hands. What has happened to you? Leave it on fate. He will get free if he is innocent or he will get punished if he is a culprit. You cannot get anything out it. You will not get anything. Why do you want to free Sagar? He asks it repeatedly. She ends up saying she loves Sagar. Palash is sad. She says I love Sagar a lot. I have loved him since childhood, only him. Whatever be the circumstances my love never decreased for him. I lied to him many times after his marriage that I don’t love him anymore, but it was all a lie. I cannot forget him and can never will. He married Janvi. I couldn’t do it then also. You cannot understand what he is for me. I will love him till my last breath.

This is my love. this is the punishment of my love. She cries. Palash composes himself. Palash’s mom stands near the door in shock. Palash takes the glass from her and gives water to Ganga. She says Ganga is because of Sagar. If there is no Sagar then there is no Ganga. Ganga will die and dry up without Sagar. She folds her hands before him again. Please save my Sagar Sir. He says everything is crystal clear now. I understand everything now. Sagar created a lot of confusion but there is none now. Your friendship and love, everything is clear. He makes her get up. Stop crying now. She drinks water on his insistence. I am ready to fight this case. She is happy. He tells her to bring all the files. I have to make preps and go to police station. She thanks him. You have done a huge favour on me. He sends her to get the files before he changes his decision. She leaves. Palash’s mom keeps her hand at her son’s shoulder. He wipes a tear out of the corner of his eye. This is what I wanted to tell you. The dream that you are seeing for her can never be complete. I couldn’t give her ring that day also as I was not sure if what I am doing is right or not.

But when I went to Chaturvedi House on the day of Janvi’s death, I saw them both breaking down and cry hugging each other. Their bonding was so clear. I realised there is more than friendship there. I am sorry Ma. I had to be rude to get her talking. I doubt myself at times. They are joined by a thread since childhood which can never break or can weaken. It is good that I realised it in time or I would have done the same mistake that Sagar did. I dint want to ruin lives of 3 people. She is worried for him. You liked a girl after so much difficulty. Will you be able to like someone again? He says it depends on you. She promises to find such a girl for him. He suggests doing it later. I have to go to police station. She sweetly caresses his face and hugs him.
Janvi’s post-mortem report still hasn’t come. It is taking time for blood tests maybe. Janvi’s dead body was handed over to her family. Palash wants to meet Sagar. Inspector says he went for her last rites. Gaga informs Pulkit.
Pulkit tells the family members about Janvi’s last rites happening at the moment. Sagar has also been taken there. Amma ji advises him to go. She was the DIL of our house.

Sagar will be alone. He needs you. Madhvi too tells him to go. we are here with Supriya. Supriya too nods at Pulkit who finally leaves. Pulkit notices them taking care of Supriya. Janvi’s family has gathered for Janvi’s last rites. The family members glare at Sagar. Palash and Ganga reach there just then. Janvi’s brother holds his collar. Why did you do this to Janvi? I considered you my friend but you are a cheater! She loved you. She only wanted to spend life with you. You killed her! Janvi’s mother takes him away. Ganga cries seeing this. Pulkit comes there as well. Pundit ji asks for Janvi’s husband to do some last minute rituals. Sagar steps forward. Ganga too goes closer. Janvi’s father stops Sagar from putting vermilion in Janvi’s forehead. You are Janvi’s killer! I wont even let his shadow fall on her, let alone do her last rites! Just leave. Sagar requests him to let him do it. This one ritual is to be done by Janvi’s husband. Janvi’s father refuses to let him do it. Ganga intervenes.

Don’t snatch this right from Sagar. Let him do Janvi’s last rites. I understand your anger but think about Janvi. She loved Sagar. Like every wife it will be her wish to leave this world as a married woman only. She would want Sagar to her last rites only. Please agree for Janvi’s sake. Don’t snatch this right from Sagar. She requests Janvi’s mother too. Pundit ji seconds her. Every married woman has the same wish. It helps get them peace in the other world. Janvi’s mother makes her husband understand. We can do this much for Janvi’s sake. He cries. Sagar puts vermilion in Janvi’s forehead and does all the necessary rituals. Everyone is crying by the end. Ganga holds Sagar. He cries hugging her. Palash looks on. Janvi’s brother gets angry seeing them thus. When you both loved each other so much then why did you spoil my sister’s life? Why did you kill her? Sagar says don’t say so. I dint kill her. He refuses to believe it. Janvi knew about your affair yet she wanted to marry you. I tried to make her understand but in vain.

Janvi’s father thinks of Sagar’s concern for Ganga all the time. He holds Sahil and comforts him. Now I understand what happened with my daughter. You both killed her. She was the biggest obstacle in your way so you killed her. Palash says you are wrong. This is not the case. Janvis father says I was thinking wrong till date but I know the truth now. I will get Sagar punished. Ganga says I understand your pain and anger but you cannot get an innocent punished. This isn’t justice! Janvi’s father asks Ganga if she will tell him what justice is. I wont spare my daughter’s killer! You both will have to bear the punishment of your act. You killed my daughter to save your illegitimate relation. She says you don’t understand what you are saying in anger.

You speak of revenge. He is not interested in learning law from her but she only wants to remind him of the oath he took before becoming a judge. You cannot get an innocent punished. If you are bent upon getting Sagar punished then I too am determined to prove him innocent! Ganga is in temple. She thinks of Janvi’s father’s words. Pundit ji asks her what happened. why don’t you come inside? Ganga denies. God and I have some issues right now. Pundit ji again tells her to come inside and pray to God. Ganga says I have never begged till date. I wont do it today too. God knows Sagar and I are honest. If he cannot help honest people get justice then it will be his defeat. It is not mine but God’s test. We will see if God will succeed in this or not. Palash shows her a proof in Sagar’s favour. She reads Janvi’s post-mortem report and is stunned. She thanks God for telling her He is with her. She runs away. Palash asks her where she is headed to. She shouts back that she is going to meet Sagar. Sagar and his family are shocked to know that Janvi took drugs. Ganga nods. She died because of drug overdose only. Madhvi says this is why she kept sleeping all day long; couldn’t work in the kitchen too. Amma ji is shocked. Why dint you tell then? Sagar thinks of the change in her behaviour. Why couldn’t I understand it then?  Madhvi says how we could understand it when Sagar couldn’t. Ganga says we cannot change what has happened now. But we know the truth. It means Sagar is innocent. We can appeal for bail in court tomorrow using this report. He will get bail.

Sagar is in tears. Why dint I realise it before? I could have saved Janvi. She would not have to die then. Madhvi and Amma ji comfort him. Ganga says what happened shouldn’t have happened, but you are not to be blamed for this. No one is to be blamed here. She holds his hand. Please don’t blame yourself. You haven’t done anything. Listen to me. Palash Sir wants to ask you some questions. Think through and then answer him. He wants to know all the details. You saw Janvi hanging from the fan. It means someone made it look like a suicide. Who can do this and why would someone do this? Do you understand? They all look shocked by this realisation. A few people from other cell hear and observe them. Sagar sits there in shock. Pulkit is shocked to see Sagar’s account statement. All his money has been transferred to some other account. It is in Raas Bihari’s name. Ganga asks him when it happened. Pulkit checks the transaction date. It is the same day of Janvi’s murder. It was only a few hours before her death. Ganga deduces that this must mean some connection. Palash says it is obvious. Whoever has killed Janvi, got all of Sagar’s money transferred in his account before killing Janvi. Whoever this Raas Bihari might be, maybe Janvi lost her life because of him only. Pulkit asks him to sit. We have to first find out who this Raas Bihari is. Pulkit agrees to help him any way he can. Ganga wonders if Janvi used to take drugs from him. Palash feels it will only ease their work then. He shows them the list of all the drug pedlars of this area. Everyone has got arrested once atleast. Ganga reads it. There is no mention of Raas Bihari in it. But it isn’t important he sells drugs only. I cannot understand how Janvi met a drug pedlar. She was not from Banaras. Where did she meet such people? Who can it be? Pulkit is in thoughts. Palash asks Ganga to think carefully. Maybe she met him through some friend or maybe some family member, cousin, relative or family friend. It can be someone who is close to her or she has good bonding with him. Ganga cannot think of anyone. Everyone liked Janvi very much but there was nothing like friendship. Everyone is older than her. How can they be friends then?

Ganga thinks of Prabha, Ratan and Yash. She recalls seeing Yash selling drugs. It cannot be anyone else than him. You remember how we caught him selling drugs one day? I am sure he only would be selling drugs to Janvi too. we should catch him right away. Palash stops her. It is just your assumption. We have no proof against Yash. We need to gather proofs against him first. We have to meet him first. Pulkit says it cannot happen. He has escaped from jail. We cannot find him. Ganga suggests meeting Ratan.
Ratan and Palash meet Ratan. He lies to them that he has no idea about Yash’s whereabouts. Why do you ask about him? Ganga is about to tell him the truth when Palash talks of the last case. Call us if you find out something about him. Ratan agrees. Palash and Ganga leave. Ratan immediately calls Prabha. Ganga and Palash came to my office just now. They were asking about Yash.

Sagar is in the same cell where those boys are. They taunt him for killing his wife. Sagar ignores them but they don’t give up. They keep speaking against him. Sagar politely says he does not want to say anything. They ask him why he killed his wife. Was she not beautiful or did she find a richer man than you? Sagar asks them not to speak like this about his late wife. They still don’t relent. You too much be having an affair with someone. Is it the one who came to get you bailed? She was amazing. Sagar is getting angry with every passing second. One guys says rich people are great. They have a wife at home and a mistress outside. Prabha thinks to fix the gun. It isn’t right to keep it at home. She calls Yash. Yash tells her to wipe it first and then throw it in gutter. I don’t have the license. I stole it. The guy keeps talking cheaply against Ganga. Sagar slaps him. Another guy shouts at him. Sagar holds his neck. I told you not to talk nonsense but you dint hear me. The guy gets up and tries to pull his friend free with his third friend’s help.

Ratan is about to knock at the door when Prabha opens it. What were you doing behind the closed door? Prabha lies to him. I was changing clothes. I have to buy veggies. He is surprised that she is going to market today. She dismisses it somehow. He again stops her. Yash has not come home since many days. Did you have a word with him? She nods. I only have told him to stay away from the house till this case is going on. We will get trapped because of those otherwise. Her purse falls down. He asks her what’s inside. She tries to snatch it from him but he grabs it. He is shocked to see the gun. Who does it belong to? Yash? She lies that it is of Yash’s friend. He brought it just like that. He gets all the more angry. First I found money in his clothes and now gun! Honestly tell me where you were taking it to. She replies that she was going to throw it. Yash told me to do so just in case police comes to check the house. He asks her when Yash gave it to her. Why dint you tell me? You kept lying to me and hid his acts. You too will go in jail one day. She tells him not to curse their son. I dint want to give you tension. She leaves with the gun. Ratan is worried. Did Yash got involved in something wrong?

Sagar warns the guys not to utter anything against his wife or anyone else. I will kill you then. The guy again repeats the same thing. Wife must be in pain so she took drugs. They question him as to why he married his wife. We are better than you. We atleast live the relations we make. Such men don’t even respect the vermilion of their wives. Why do they get married when they don’t want a wife? Sagar thinks of Janvi. He angrily picks up the glass to hit one of the guys but stops. They get angry and beat him. Sagar thinks of Janvi’s state and her trying to win his love all the time in the past. He gets hurt on his head. The guys continue to beat him. Constable opens the lock and free Sagar. They rush Sagar to hospital.

Pulkit comes to hospital. He is shocked to see Sagar’s state. Pulkit sits down beside Sagar. I am sure you reacted to something that was wrong only. You cannot let anyone misbehave. Sagar asks about Supriya. Pulkit replies she is better than before. Sagar asks him if he told anyone at home. Pulkit denies. I dint get a chance. Sagar makes him promise that he wont tell anything to anyone at home. Mummy and Dadi are already worried. They wont be able to bear it. Plus don’t tell Ganga. Pulkit wonders what happened suddenly. Everything fell apart. Sagar holds his hand. You were right. It is all because of me. you all are in problem because of me but not anymore. I will set everything right. Everything will be fine. Pulkit is confused. Sagar says I will do what I should do, I will do what is right. Don’t worry. Everything will be okay. Pulkit nods. I hope so.

Ganga is checking the photos of Janvi’s room. Palash got them somehow after requesting the Inspector. She finds no clue. We don’t know who Raas Bihari is. How will we find out if Janvi transferred the money willingly or not? The hearing is tomorrow. If we don’t find a clue till tomorrow then we wont be able to bail Sagar. I don’t know what to do. He suggests her to cool down first. He picks up the photos. How will it work if you give up now? Be cool. You will find a clue. Ganga looks at one of the photos. She shows it to Palash. There is something wrong in this photo. She shows him another photo. One was taken at 2:30 while the other was clicked at 3. The first photo has no paper on the table while the second one has a paper, Janvi’s suicide note. It means someone planted it there later to trap Sagar. There photos are after her death. It means she cannot keep it. Someone else has kept it. He nods looking at the photos. Ganga looks hopeful. We can save Sagar.

Location: Sagar’s residence
Gangaa is ready thining that she has all the papers, but fels nervous as if she forgot something, but thinks that she cant make any mistake today, as she has to get sagar out on bail today anyow. ammaji comes asking for maharaj, but his mother gives her the puja thali, saying tht maharaja has gone to the market. ganga hollers at ammaji and asks her to give prashad, if not for herself, for sagar, as she had promised him, that she shall get him out today, and for that, she needs her blessings. ammaji eyes her sternly and complies. she hands her the prashad but before she can take it, amaaji clasps her hand close. amaaji asks her to respect the prashad, and asks her to get sagar back, at any cost, come what may. ganga eplies saying that she shall respect the prasad and the promise, and that everytimt, she brought him back to her, then how she can ivert this time around. ammaji gives her the prshad, while she takes it, and underneath the rope that separates them, she bends to touch her feet, and ammaji resignedly blesses her. ganga then leaves. amaaji and sagar’s mother stand tensed.

Location: Courthouse
Ganga is the first to arrive at the courtroom, and eyes it nervously, remembering ammaji’s room, and her promise to ammaji, and jaaanvi’s father. she studies the course thoroughly, as the clock starts ticking, while she thoroughs herself with the preparations. finally others arrive too, jaanvi’s family with their lawyers, and eye her venomously, while ganga’s aide to comes and stands by her. they eye each other tensedly, and take their seats. finally, sagar is brought in, by the police, and he takes his place in the stand, while all are tensed to see him. palash rushes to sagar, and asks how he got hurt, as ganga is tensed too. sagar doesnt respond, and ganga calms down too as they signal at each other. the judge arrives and the proceedings begin, while ganga eyes agar tensedly. he ask the defendant to present the case. palash identifies himsefl, and then presents the case fabricated against sagar, for inciting jaanvi’ murder, and then points out how her postmortem reports show a drug overdose, and not death due to suffocation, and that sagar cant be convicted by abettment of suicide, but a simple mishap during drug intake and hence pleads for sagar’s bail. then the judge asks the opponent to present the case. Jaanvi’s lawyer, stans up and comments on how palash misled the court into making it believe sagar was innocent. he asks if jaanvi took drugs, who or what prompted her to do this, as she was educated and knew the right from wrong, then why the addiction, was she forced to.

He casts insinuations to their unhappy marital life. sagar remembers jaanvi’s madness, as the lawyer keeps accusing him of domestic violence, and unruly behaviour with the wife, while he keeps thinking abotu jaanvi. he denies it as an accidental case, and cites it as a planned conspiracy to murder, by an impulsive, frustrated and bad mannered sagar, and hence demands for him to reprimanded by section 302, and that the way the murder happened, isnt important, but the person who hung jaanvi, and this can only be him, as he says that there was noone in the house, other than sagar at the time of the accident, and that he is automatically in the doubt circle, and hence till the court proceedings are done, he shouldnt be given bail. palash objects sabbarwal’s accusations, and says that he cant be convicted yet until proven. he agrees that sagar was with jaanvi that day, and he wa the last person to see her alive, but that isnt enouch to implicte him of murdering jaanvi. he asks if sagar killed, then who wrote the suicide letter, he himself wouldnt have written it to convict himself, since thats insane.

Sabbarwal says that jaanvi wasnt happy with marrying sagar, as her normal dreams were shattered, when he didnt prove to be a right husband. ganga is tensed through it all. sabbarwal talks about how sagar didnt pay her for domestic expenses, and hence she had to ask her father for money, and shows bank statements of transfer of cash from her father’s account to her, even after she was married. sagar keeps having memory flashbacks. Palash denies, and adds that sagar had given her the debit card and credit card, that she could always use, and had even given the internet banking login and password. he also points out how money from sagar’s account was transferred to some rashbehari. he says that they need to further investigate on it. sabbarwal point out how shall they prove that jaanvi used his credit cards. they are silenced. sabbarwal continues that credit card transactions have been done only for money transfer mostly online, and hence there isnt any proof that jaanvi used it. sabbarwal says that sagar treated jaanvi very badly, and that they never were a couple even, and he even denied her physical intimacy, every single time. sagar stands tensed, while ganga is distraught. he then points out how he also fought for the company that illegally sold drugs, which talks about his character. palash says that sagar didnt know about their involvement and when he got to know, he left the case and they both arent connected. but the judge overrules it. sagar continues to have flashbacks.

Then, sabbarwal brings the first witness,Dr. Daas. after he takes the witness stand, he is asked to tell what happened, the day sagar brought jaanvi to the clinic. he says that she was looking miserable and mentally upset, and looked scared and upset. he says that he told sagar to gve her love and care as thats what she needs right now, more than meds, and once her condition gets better, he shall treat her yet again. he also says that sagar tells him not to tell anyone else about it. sabbarwal asks why would this fact be hidden, but sagar’s doing so can only point that his intention was wrong. palash says that this is wrong, as had that been the case, he wouldnt have taken her to the doctor in the first case. he says that he didnt want his family to be tensed too, and hence took this decision. he then says to sabbarwal saying that he too would have done the same, had it been his family involved. while all this goes on, sagar remembers his turmoils with jaanvi, and her temperment. ganga eyes tears streaming down sagar’s cheeks, and wonders whats going through him right now, and she wishes to console him, but is helpless as she stares at him, emotionally. sabbarwal then calls amit anand, who testifies that he saw sagar taking jaanvi in the court, quiet unruly, and even splashed water on her face. sagar remembers it all, how he had mistreated her. he then calls mannan khan, who talks about the same. palash says that this is merely a matter between the husband and wife and they dont need to unnecessarily get involved in that as that this isnt connected to her death, and doesnt prove that sagar is the murderer at all. sabbarwal says that he is just drawing a character sketch of sagar. the judge overrules it yet again. Sabbarwal says that now he wishes to present such an evidence, that shll set the case crystal clear, and reminds the court of jaanvi and sagar’s marriage and the condition in which they got married, itself raises doubts and queries. all are boggled. The screen freezes on ganga’s tensed face.
