We will checkmate multiple and illegal taxation in Anambra if....– Ifeanyi Ubah

The Young Progressive Party (YPP) Senator-Elect for Anambra South, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah on Saturday, maintained that his party will checkmate multiple and illegal taxations across Anambra State if its candidates are elected in the coming State Assembly election.

Dr. Ubah made this known while leading the party's state assembly candidates in a campaign tour across Onitsha North 1 and Onitsha South 2 constituencies.

While addressing the people, Dr. Ubah decried the level of exploitation of traders in the state through multiple and illegal taxation. He further stated that the state government should look for real foreign investors rather than relying on petty traders for revenue generation.

Dr. Ubah who bemoaned the level of sycophancy in the State Assembly, called on all stakeholders in the state to ensure that majority of incoming legislators in the state are from the opposition in order to checkmate the executive appropriately.

He further urged the people of Onitsha North 1 and Onitsha South 2 to support and massively vote for Hon. Barrister Arinze Nonso and Hon. Nduka Alor in the coming poll.

Recall that YPP has 10 candidates contesting for Anambra State Assembly election. The election will take place on Saturday March 9, 2019.
