BREAKING: Association of aggrieved APGA aspirants set to protest, vows to stop Buhari-Obiano pact

By AIF Media

The Association of Aggrieved APGA Aspirants, AAAA said it will mobilise all their members for a protest tomorrow at Onitsha. They made the call yesterday after their emergency meeting.

The meeting which lasted late into the night yesterday agreed to protest at the venue of the APC Anambra state campaign rally slated to hold at Onitsha, tomorrow January 24, 2019.

According to the Convener of the  Aggrieved APGA Aspirants, Owelle Onyeka Mbaso, AAAA chose to protest at APC campaign rally in order to draw the attention of President Buhari who is expected at the rally to their plight.

AAAA said, the protest will be an opportunity to inform APC and Mr President that any pact or agreement with APGA leaders in this coming election will be dishonoured as APGA leaders are no longer trusted and party disunited.

AIF Media was informed that the Association of Aggrieved APGA Aspirants met with governor Obiano late last year where the governor promised to compensate them and offset some of the heavy expenses incurred during and before the primaries.

They were also promised to be integrated into the govt through appointments. But till date, none of these promises have been met. All efforts to reach the Chief of Staff to the governor who was mediating between them and the govt failed.

The convener and chairman of the Association, Owelle Onyeka Mbaso said all the Aggrieved APGA Aspirants will bear placards tomorrow at the venue of the APC rally to inform President Buhari, APC leadership and the general public especially the Media, that any negotiation with APGA to vote for Buhari on February 16, presidential election will not be respected.

He said that the over 1000 aggrieved aspirants of APGA in Anambra state are the ones who can mobilise the voters for APGA in any election and with this face off, APGA will be defeated and that any party negotiating for APGA votes will also lose.
