OPINION: Road to the Nigerian Senate – Anambra South By Tobenna Obiano

The choice before the good people of Anambra State is to choose men and women who know their onion, and who would do only what they promise that they will do.

We must work assiduously hard to elect those who know the role of power and authority, and those who understand what leadership truly is, and what it entails.

I’ve continued to insist on fellow patriots to do all that they can, that we build a prosperous and futuristic society. If we must elect leaders, we must go for the best. We must have people with proven record of success in variant fields. We must unapologetically stand to select those who would surely do well.

There’re many who aren’t in for trials and errors. There’re many who don’t like giving excuses, instead they take responsibilities. There’re many who hate to fail, but would strive to attain success, at all cost within the rights and tenets of the law of the land. Sadly, they’re most often sidelined by bad politicians and sometimes lame orders. That status quo must change for the better. We must push for these class of individuals that can dare and excel, get them, and elect them into service.

Politics insist a dirty game. However, it’s some class of dirty-minded fellows who join politics that bring forth their dirtiness into the game. There’re litanies of sane, sound and seasoned persons. We can easily find polished, fine and refined thinkers. There’re standard-bearers, idea molders, creative thinkers, models, mentors and those who inspire this generation. Our political sphere needs these individuals and badly too.

Politics shouldn’t be an all-comers thing. It shouldn’t be for jobless fellows. It shouldn’t be an avenue to get-rich-quick. It shouldn’t be the path to primitive accumulation of wealth. Politics and indeed, leadership is all about service to humanity. Those who must play active participatory role in politics must be ready to be servant-leaders, not standing out to find who to Boss it over.

I present to you once again, my dear brother and friend, a man who has done immensely well for himself, his immediate locality and the society at large. A man who believes strongly in the ingenuity of young Nigerians, and who’s ready to continuously impact, grow and better our teeming youth populace. A man who has continued to take the lead at all times, taking the bull boldly with both hands, by the horn and by the tail.

Let’s go Anambra South, I present to you the man to beat. A man of can’t. A man who would surely do well. A man who would become a prayer answered of the people. If he has done so much as a private individual, when gifted with power, he would surely triple his good deeds.

His name is - Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah and he’s contesting for Senate under YPP.

He’s the real deal. Don’t be left out, please, stand to be counted, stand with him and vote him in.
