'Nobody can stop me from becoming the first Igbo president in 2023' – Okorocha boasts

Contoversial Imo state governor, Anayo Rochas Okorocha has said that his mind is fixed on becoming the first elected civilian president of Igbo extraction in 2023.
According to Daily Trust, Okorocha made the remark when he hosted members of the Orlu Zone Congress of Journalists (OZCOJ) in his office.

The Imo governor also said that all the campaigns of calumny against him was because his detractors have realised that he is the most eligible and most detribalised Igbo man.

Okorocha described himself as the rallying point for all Ndigbo and the only one who can bridge unity, understanding and togetherness in order to realize Igbo presidency in 2023.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) is reportedly concerned over the decision of Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun and Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo to work against the party in the state in their governorship elections.

Okorocha was absent at APC guber rally in Imo State on Friday. The National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomole described his action as anti-party.

Oshiomhole, who has been in a running battle with the Imo governor, accused Okorocha of frustrating the APC candidate, Hope Uzodimma.
