Nnewi South Constituency 2: I remain the rightful candidate of APGA – Chieloka Okoye speaks, thanks supporters

The winner in the just concluded APGA election for Nnewi South Constituency 2, Engr. Chieloka Okoye has dismissed what he described as a beer parlor gossip of the alleged cancelation of the the election by the National Working Committee of the party.

In a statement released on Saturday, the one time transition committee chairman of Nnewi South L.G.A thanked his supporters for standing with him even in the face of various manipulations.

I thank God Almighty and All of you, for the Support you gave me, in the just Concluded Apga Primary Election for State House of Assembly of Nnewi South 2 Constituency which took place at L.G. Secretariat Hall on Thursday 04/10/2018

The spate of calls i have received, evoked my decision to respond to the Beer Parlour Gossip, spread by the TC Chairman of Nnewi South; Felix Odimegwu, Who is in the Position to discourage such

THE BEER PARLOUR GOSSIP OF CANCELLATION OF A FREE AND FAIR ELECTION:

The Leadership of our Great Party; APGA did not notify me, or any other Aspirant of the alleged Cancellation of a Free and Fair Electoral Exercise.

No other Election has been held either.

Elections are NOT cancelled on Social Media.

THE ALLEGED DOCTORED AD-HOC DELEGATE LIST.

The Delegate list was not Published anywhere, at anytime before the Election.

It is worthy of note, that Hon.Rita's Agent and PA; Calistus Ezulike escorted the electoral materials, and officials from APGA State Office Awka, to the Venue of the Election in Ukpor.

The question begging answer now is:
How is Felix Odimegwu and Co. alleging that the delegate list was altered, if we all did not see the list, before the election day?

NNEWI SOUTH 2 CONSTITUENCY ELECTION.

The Election Exercise in Nnewi South 2 Constituency, is unequivocally the most Peaceful, Violent free, Fair and Credible Primary Election held in Anambra State and beyond.

The formal Physical Accreditation and Censoring of Delegates before voting took place, with strict compliance to the Party's Guideline, and in the presence of the three aspirants...My humble self, Hon. Rita Mmaduagwu, and Hon.Ify.

The Voting Exercise was carried out Peacefully, and was Succeeded by Vote Counting, in the presence of the three Aspirants, The Electoral Officers, The DSS Officials, The Police, The INEC Officials, The Agents of the Aspirants, The Returning Officer and Assistants in Full Glare and with no Secrecy Whatsoever.

Having polled the Highest Vote, the Returning Officer Announced that I WON the Election, hence Returned me as the Candidate of the Party.
I was Congratulated by Hon. Ify (who was one of the Aspirants).

The Result was duly signed and submitted, and INEC officials witnessed the entire process.
The Result is Available.
The Media Published the same Result.

There was no Protest from any Aspirant, before, during, and after the Election, by words or Actions.

There was however, wild jubilation across the Length and Breath of the entire Nnewi South.

In 2014, i had contested for the same Election, with Hon.Rita Maduagwu and Hon.Ikenna Mbazulike Amaechi.
Hon.Rita emerged Winner of that Election, and myself and Hon.Ikenna Congratulated her.

We must learn to eschew Bitterness in Politics, as a Winner must Emerge from any Election.

I am inclined to submit that the following actions by Felix Odumegwu, which include:

1: Changing the Venue of the Election, from Greatland Hotel, Ukpor to the LG Headquarters. A  development i accepted in good faith.

2: Assigning himself the duty of heading the Propagation of Beer Parlour Gossip par Cancellation of the Election result.

3: Claims of a Doctored Delegate List...

...are all indications that they had most likely planned to carryout corrupt and illegal actions, at the Party’s Primary Election.

Having failed in that regard, they resorted to peddling cheap Lies and Gossips (Attitude of Bad Looser)

Nnewi South 2 Constituency Election is adjudged the best Primary Election across the state, the Most Peaceful, and undoubtedly FREE and FAIR.

I call on the leadership of our Great Party, APGA to issue a stern warning to the People propagating this Beer Parlour Gossip, and also to those who think that Political Positions are their birthright, to desist from dragging our Great Party's image in the mud.

I have been a loyal Party Man for more than ten years, and still counting.
We cannot allow such Gossip peddlers distract us from our duties to the Party and the People.

Ndi be Anyi, we have a huge task ahead, and must stay focused.
