Chicago Mayoral candidate, Amarachi gets major support from Kanye West

Chicago mayoral candidate Amarachi Enyia, on Monday got major support from Hip Hop star, Kanye West.

According to Amara, Kanye supporting her with his time and his money literally made her campaign possible.

Kanye donated $73,540 to her campaign which Amara said cleared her debt to the Illinois State Board of Elections, her final barrier to getting on the ballot. Amara owed that exact amount in fines for not filing campaign finance reports from her 2015 mayoral run.

She however said the recent support from Kanye doesn't necessarily mean she's now in full support for Donald Trump.

Amara is currently director of the Austin Chamber of Commerce in Chicago and Chief Executive Officer of ACE Municipal Partners, a municipal consulting firm.

She vowed to replace the current mayor, Rahm Emmanuel.
