Residents scoop fuel as tanker rams into police van in Akwa Ibom

Some residents of Uyo trooped out on Sunday to scoop fuel from a tanker that fell and spilled its content along Calabar-Itu highway.

According to reports, the driver of the vehicle lost control after ramming into a police van while trying to evade arrest.

Members of the State’s anti-robbery squad were chasing the driver when the accident occurred. They reportedly double crossed the speeding vehicle which led to its eventual fall. No casualty was recorded.
