The leading aspirant for the 2019 Anambra South Senatorial District Election on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance - APGA, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has through a press statement today, Thursday, September 27, 2018 urges all his teeming fellowers to support his effort of winning party primary through prayers and courage of conviction. Dr. Ubah who would be addressing his fellowers on Saturday, 29th of September, 2018 by 9:00AM through Odenigbo 99.1FM and on Saturday, 6th of October, 2018 through Authority 91.9FM has urged everyone to carry out a comparative analysis of events through the primary election.
He wrote:
"My dear supporters, well-wishers, fans and friends alike, I, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, bring you sincere and Calvary greetings this day. Today being Thursday, 27th of September, 2018, I wish to address you all; the entire supporters of the “Ifeanyi Ubah” brand worldwide as well as my teeming social media followers totaling over 166,000 people on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/DPIUbah/) and over 36,000 followers on twitter (@Dr_PatrickIfeanyiUbah) out of the fullness of my heart.
"First of all, on behalf of my humble self, my family and Campaign Organization, I wish to register my appreciation as well as convey my heartfelt gratitude to you all once again for your love, the countless encomiums, solidarity, support and steadfastness in the cause of my Senatorial ambition so far. It is barely a week to the All Progressives Grand Alliance Senatorial primary election.
"As we look forward to that day, it is with the deepest sense of moral responsibility and humility that I formally write to beseech every one of you who have shown tremendous belief in my cause to kindly put me in your prayers. This should be our sole focus for the next seven days as I believe we have done more than enough to promote my devout and divine aspiration.
According to Dr. Ubah, the Chief Promoter of AfaIgboEfuna, whose candidacy is borne out of a strong conviction and belief in the shared prosperity, development and economic recovery of Ndi Igbo, "My greatest regret would be to sit and watch person(s) who do not understand and share in the travails of my people, gain power in an attempt to plunge us into further regression. I believe that my formidable track record of achievements and wealth of experience in the private sector has earned me tremendous knowledge, skills and capacity to understand the multiple expectations of my constituents in Anambra South. This is the basis of my Senatorial quest; to consolidate Anambra South’s credentials as one of the most economically and commercially viable districts in Nigeria.
"My commitment to our beloved party, APGA has made me suffer humiliation, deception and persecution despite all the sacrifices made in a bid to actualize the unblemished success of the party. However, I am not intimidated or shaken as my journey in politics and life have taught me to always stand with the courage of my conviction, courage to stand up for what is right and not what is easy. Courage to speak and stand on the truth even in the most turbulent and difficult times.
"On several occasions, I have been misinterpreted and misunderstood. Other times, I have been greatly maligned. However, what continues to give me strength is that one with God is majority and, in all things, God works for the good of those who love him and have been called according to his purpose.
"In view of the above, I write today to plead with each and every one of you, supporters, well-wishers and alike, to earnestly put me in your prayers and subsequently, stop making any political publication in my support. Rather, I implore you all to promote and keep promoting my prayer points till Wednesday, 3rd October, 2018 which is the day slated for the Senatorial primary election; after which everyone can revert to his/her normal political posts/publication.
"ALL I NEED NOW ARE YOUR PRAYERS and what are my prayers?
The Billionaire businessman and oil magnate has provided his prayer points as follows;
"• That God should intervene and help Ndi Anambra differentiate between light and darkness as I go into Primary elections on Wednesday, 3rd October, 2018.
"• That God should give Anambra South Senatorial District a candidate within my party, APGA, that will serve the interest of the people and not his/her personal interest.
"• That God will intervene and open the eyes of Ndi Anambra to see and understand the insincerity of man to man as it relates to understandings/agreements reached prior to 21/21.
"• That God should intervene in promises, accord and agreements made, particularly those that are being reneged on as a result of renewed interest.
He maintains that while in the mood of prayer, he'd enjoin everyone to meditate on the following bible verses:
"I lift up my eyes to the mountain, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. (Psalms 121: 1-2)
"In all things, God works for the good of those who love him and have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)
"What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)
"Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. (2 Chronicles 20:15)
"If a man makes a vow, or swears an oath to bind himself by a pledge, he shall not break his word. He shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth. (Numbers 30:2)
Dr. Ubah having made this solemn appeal, will not be making any other statement until Saturday, 29th of September, 2018 by 9:00AM through Odenigbo 99.1FM and after the Primary elections on Saturday, 6th of October, 2018 through Authority 91.9 FM. He has call everyone to jointly carry out a comparative analysis of events through the primary election and the journey going forward through the same medium. The scheduled time will be communicated on Friday, 5th October, 2018.
"I sincerely believe that the past is for us to learn from, to build a better tomorrow. May God bless us with purposeful and visionary leaders that will take our land to a next higher level of development. In God I trust, to lead us right." Dr. Ubah concluded.
