Police allegedly shoots man dead in Anambra over his refusal to offer bribe

A young man identified as Onyeme Michael Nonso, from Odidama village Agulu was reportedly shot dead on Tuesday by Metro Patrol Police at close range beside NAFDAC office Agulu, Anambra State.

According to an eye witness, Ebele Ngini who was at the scene, the deceased was shot dead over his refusal to offer bribe to the police. The policeman and his colleagues reportedly fled the scene immediately after the ugly incident

He wrote: “Before my very eyes the Metro Patrol Police shot this guy in a bid to intimidate his driver into parting way with bribe, they previously held me to obtain from me. They threw away my papers as they flee the scene.

“I am posting this before they bury the evidence. I am an eyewitness, am ready to testify.

“This happened at Agulu before the Unizik campus.”
