PHOTOS: Engr Felix Odimegwu kicks off Nnewi South @27 unity cup football tournament

As part of numerous events lined up for Nnewi South Local Government @27 Anniversary celebration, the organisers led by the Transition Committee Chairman of the LG, Engr. Felix Odimegwu (Omus Kakaka, Anyaora Ezinifite) kicked off the Unity Cup football tournament today.

The tournament dubbed “Nnewi South World Cup” which will feature the 10 towns in the LGA started today between Ukpor and Utuh at Technical School field, Utuh.

Nnewi-South Local Government @27 Anniversary celebration is scheduled for August 27th, 2018.

The event was graced by Nnewi South transition committee members, Chief Tony Iju, Anambra State FA chairman, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah (represented by Ike Ora Nnewi), Representatives of various PGs from the L.G.A, APGA chairmen and so many others.

Today's Match ended 2:1 against the visiting town, Ukpor.
