Eid-el-Kabir: Anambra Speaker calls for tolerance among religious bodies

As Muslims all over the world celebrate the feast of Eid-el-Kabir, the speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Barrister Rita Maduagwu says religious tolerance among different religious bodies remains the primary solution to the prevailing discrepancy witnessed in all facets of government in the country.

In her godwill message to Muslims, Barr Maduagwu urged them to pursue peace at all times since neither Islam nor Christianity preach hatred or violence.

The Speaker who commended governor Willie Obiano for providing an enabling environment for the Muslims in the State to propagate their fate and also earn their living, enjoined them to reciprocate the gesture by giving maximum support to Obiano's administration at all times.

She further solicited prayers from all religious organizations to surmount political, economical and religious challenges facing the masses and assures that the State legislature would continue to support all efforts to promote harmonious coexistence among different tribes in the country.
