Cultists kill pastor after stripping him naked in Imo State

The decomposing body of Pastor Friday Isinwa of the Seven Days Church of God in Umuhuo, Ikwerrede-Awara, Imo State has been found two days after he went missing.

Sources in the community said the victim, a father of four, who was equally a farmer, had gone to one of his farmlands to harvest cassava when he was allegedly waylaid by suspected cultists who murdered him after striping him naked.


The discovery of Osinwa’s body caused panic in the community, as youths including aged women staged a peaceful protest.

It was gathered that there had been supremacy battle since 2009 in the community and neighbouring towns between rival cult groups, identified as Iceland and Deygbam Confraternities, which had claimed many lives including loss of properties.
