320 Nigerian soldiers retire from service after completing six months training

Three hundred and twenty soldiers, who have completed a six-month training at the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre(NAFRC), Oshodi, Lagos, have retired from the service.

The soldiers, comprising 262 from the Nigerian Army, 44 from the Nigerian Navy and 14 from the Nigerian air force were sent off at a passing-out ceremony held at the centre on Friday.

The ceremony was attended by Gabriel Olonisakin, chief of defence staff (CDS), who urged them to continue to contribute their quota towards surmounting threats to lives and property within their domiciled area.

The CDS said he had no doubt that the training they passed through at the centre would expose them to several entrepreneurial and management skills that would help mitigate the envisaged pitfalls as well as living a stress free life in retirement.
