Worker's Day: Anambra Speaker describes the State workers as the best in the country

The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Rita Maduagwu has described the State workers as the best in terms of comportment and dedication to duty.

In her goodwill message to mark this year's Worker's Day, Barrister Maduagwu extolled the contributions of workers towards the development of the country, noting they're the engine that drive all sectors of the nation's economy.

The Speaker who commended Governor Willie Obiano for his steadfastness in payment of worker's salary in the State as well as provision of other incentives to the workforce, enjoined workers to reciprocate the gesture by showing more support to the Obiano administration and upholding the tenets of the civil service.

She further advised workers in the state to shun acts capable of putting their reputation in doubt but to sustain those things that have been distinguished them among their counterparts in other country.

Barrister Maduagwu prayed God to strengthen the workers to enable them to continue to contribute meaningfully towards the peace and progress of the State.
