PHOTOS: Police arrest robbers who invaded Corper's lodge in Ukpor

The police has arrested two of a four man gang who invaded and robbed members of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) at Ukpor High school in Nnewi South L.G.A, Anambra State.



The suspects, Ifeanyi, 25 and Kosisochukwu 23 together with two others now at large invaded the female Corper's lodge on May 6th and dispossessed the corps members of their mobile phones and money.

Initial reports claimed that the suspects raped one of the corps members but a policeman who pleaded anonymity said no rape was involved. One of the victims, a female corps member who spoke to cfrmagazine.com corroborated the report.
According to her, the robbers tried to molest one of them but took to their heels when they sighted people approaching the lodge.


When contacted, the DPO of Ukpor Police station, SP Lucky Seibai who declined to comment on the matter said the suspects have since been transferred to SARS division Awkuzu on the order of commissioner of police for further investigation.

The suspects have since confessed to the crime.

Items recovered from them include: Mobile phones, Plasma TVs, DVDs, a Ghana-Must-Go bag containing female shoes, cutlasses and a metal disguised as a gun.
Some of the shoes and mobile phones belonged to the corps members.
