Philanthropist, Oil Magnet and Humanitarian Hon. Uche Onyilofor(Obidike Nibo) declares to contest the Awka North and South Federal Constituency slot come 2019.
The State headquarters of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) wore a celebratory look yesterday 08-05-18, as the state working committee (SWC) under the distinguished chairmanship of Chief Sir Norbert Obi (Ugobuezennunu) , received the aspirant for Awka North and South Federal constituency, Hon. Chief Uche Onyilofor as he came to familiarize with the State Working Committee (SWC) and make his intentions known.
Uche Onyilofor was described as a philanthropist, youth empowerment ambassador and a job creator by his ward chairmen, the local government chairman of the two constituencies and some SWC members who have known him over the years. He was also described as a real party man for staying committed to the party despite loosing out in the previous primary elections for the same position.
Declaring his intention, the aspirant Hon. Uche Onyilofor decried poor representation in his constituency and the failure of the current occupiers of the position to make laws that will benefit his constituents and the State in general. He explained in details how he used his various top positions in Elf and NNPC to pursue the interest of the Igbo man and turned down opportunities to divert fuel during fuel scarcity. He stated that he gave jobs to over 17 persons in the Federal Civil service and 20 Igbo persons in all NNPC mega stations across the country as Director of retails many of which have become graduates and doing well.
The State Chairman Sir Norbert Obi KSJ and other State Working Committee members were impressed by his love for the Igbo project and thanked him for remaining loyal and committed to the party despite loosing out in the previous process, promising him a level playing ground for all aspirants.
