Saturday March 17 Update On “Lies Of The Heart” Episode 443-445

The next morning, Damini is dressed traditionally, while all are ready with puja arrangements. Anirudh and alok join in too. they ask about Shaurya. Urmi says that he will come once he wakes up. She says that Ishaani will come soon too. In her room, Diya is highly tensed that whatever she is doing, is distancing relatives and her near ones from her. She asks the lord to give her the strength to ensure her victory over evil, by Shaurya and Urmi’s support. She hears the sound of the prayers, from down, where Ishaani and Shaurya too have joined.


Diya comes out of her room, and finds the puja going on. She steps down the stairs and comes to join them. She notices the entire family praying together and stands herself too, in between Shaurya and Urmi, with her hands joined. Damini turns around and gives the hole fumes on everyone, but when she turns around, she finds Diya too standing there and is enraged. She goes to Diya and asks her to leave from here, right now, rightaway. Diya opens her eyes closed, in shock and sadness. Urmi and others are surprised too. Anirudh tries to speak, but she shuts him up. She asks Diya if she didn't hear. Damini again asks Diya to get lost, giving her a push to throw her out of the room. Urmi composes her, while Diya is in shock. She asks Damini what and why is she doing this. Anirudh is angry at her, while Shaurya, Alok and Sandhya are surprised as Damini creates a scene at the house prayer. Damini shuts them all with a scream, adding that its enough, and that she didn't say anything, when Urmi brought Diya inside the house. She adds that this girl can't come in her worship place. They are all shocked. Diya meanwhile is too stunned and appalled. Anirudh asks why can't Diya come in. Damini asks him not to step in feminine issues, and then asks all of them to be quiet. She again asks Diya what kind of a shameless girl, she is, that even after being told and insulted so many times, she still stands here. Diya is appalled. She begins to go, but Shaurya stops her by holding her hand, boggling Damini and very angry.

Shaurya stops Diya by holding  her hand, and asks his grandma Damini why Diya can't be in prayer house. She responds that if he is so insistent that she speaks it blatantly then so be it. Damini clarifies that Diya has been raped, and hence a soiled girl has no place in any pious rituals in a pious place and add that she has no place here. Shaurya asks how can a rape a victim be a soil girl, and what's the connection, and what's Diya’s fault in this and why can't she step in the prayer house. He points out her hypocrisy, that she would talk like this as an educated and wise lady. She then asks him to think now, as she is adamant, as this is her house, and only that will happen what she wants. Urmi asks why the discrimination. Damini says since she feels like it then Urmi can take her to any temple, but not hers. She adds that if she still has issues, then she would forget that Urmi is Ishaani’s mother, and Shaurya is Ishaani’s brother. Anirudh hollers at her, while she shuts him with her hand. Urmi reminds her that everyone is same in the eyes of the lord. Damini angrily says that if she is so hurt and disturbed, then she should herself take Diya and leave this place, they are all tensed.


Later in her room, Diya is haunted by Damini’s stinging words. Urmi comes there and finds her like this and rushes to her comfort. Diya controls her tears, while she caresses her, asking her not to cry, as she needs to be strong, and that she might understand what she had to go through downstairs, but she has to ignore such thinking and mentalities of the society and she needs to change that itself. Diya asks if she has become such a lowlife, that people don't bear to be with her, and what's her fault. Urmi says that she isn't at fault at all, and she has to stop thinking like that, and she needs to fight this system, and change the thinking of the society. She adds that all people ridicule this, but no-one wants to get in the mirk and change it. She says that young people like her and their strength will revolutionise the system, and reminds her of the atrocities that she had to face when she had decided to divorce Samrat and end their marriage, when even her family had deserted her. She gets emotional, and that she was scared and terrified too, but she has always had belief in herself, and with the trust and hope that if she fights for the right, she would win. Diya hears intently. Urmi says that when no-one was with her, an unknown family supported her, as she tells them about Sushma and her husband, who stood by her in everything. She then tells Diya that God too helps those who want to help themselves with their new thinking. She says that had she not been supported then, she might have crumbled. She further advice Diya that she needs to be strong, as a weak person can't do this. She says that even if her family isn't, she and Shaurya are, and they have the faith, that she would win this. Diya hugs her and she reciprocates back.

As Shaurya comes down the stairs, he is about to walk out, when he asks Ishaani what's she doing, and she says that she is busy doing designs. He asks her to make something for him too. She eagerly accepts. The police comes there and says that they need to make a sketch of the culprits, because of which Urmi had called them here. Shaurya asks Ishaani to go upstairs for sometime. He wraps up her designs, while she says that Diya can go to the police station and do this too. Shaurya in a stern voice, asks her not to argue and do what's told. She grumbles, and takes her designs and goes up.  Damini watches all this. Urmi comes down with Diya. Damini is happy that the brother-sister relationship is strained now. The sketching artist asks Diya to explain whatever she remembers. Urmi asks her to do so. She finally starts speaking, while Urmi and Shaurya sit by her side, and the artist begins to draw as per Diya’s instructions. Finally the sketch is complete. He shows it to the police, who sees and then shows it to Diya, who notices the similarity as she remembers the nightmare, and is visibly traumatised. The police asks her if they can finalise it, or she wants to make some changes. Diya Who identifies the attackers by means of a sketch artist complies to them. Damini is eager. Shaurya too takes a look at them. The police inform them that they will put these posters all over the city and soon they will nab the goons. Shaurya thanks them. The police leaves with the artist while Urmi comforts Diya.

At Gaurav’s residence, as Chiku gets dressed, Nupur dresses herself up and gets breakfast for him, to impress him but he gets irritated, and asks what's he doing here. He is amused to know that she got him breakfast. She says that she was happy that he stood for her yesterday and hence wanted to do something nice for him. He says that he doesn't eat all this. She asks what he means. He says that his workout doesn't allow him to eat oily foods. She asks him to do so, out of her concern but he is adamant. Then he finds her sad, and says that he will take the juice. She is about to take it when he does it himself, his hand grazing past hers, and she revels and basks in the touch. He drinks the jucie. Just then, her phone rings brings her back to her reality. Chiku leaves. She gets a customer’s call, who is shocked to know that she has left prostitution. He taunts her if she became a maid, or found a heroic savious. Chiku passes by her. She says that indeed it's something like that. Chiku is frustrated as she eyes him. She then disconnects the call, and again starts eyeing Chiku with dreamy eyes. Chiku leaves.


Outside Shaurya’s house, while he is speaking on the phone, he finds that Karan has just come. He immediately cancels the call, and hurriedly goes to him. He tells Karan that it's good he came, as they were waiting for him. Karan asks why. Shaurya taunts him that it's naagpanchami, and he is the perfect person to be revered today, since they don't find snakes easily these days. He leaves. Karan reminds him that humour should be in a limit. Shaurya turns and says that he is the one who he himself has to bear. Karan asks him not to bear then and tell Diya, and end it all. Shaurya asks if he even realises what a lowlife he is, as he has no shame at all, for hurting her feelings and sentiments at all. Karan says that he and Diya should be regretful. Shaurya says that he is filled with regret to think what Diya will go through, when she knows his truth. Karan says that it's Diya’s problem, and she will handle it, and asks Shaurya why is he bothered. Shaurya turns around and is shocked, as he calls out Diya’s name. Karan who has his back turned towards the entrance of the door, is very scared thinking that Diya must have seen his true face today. He is shit scared, and instantly starts thinking of plausible explanations that could explain the soup he landed himself in, due to the gloating and careless bantering. He turns around but finds no-one, and the door empty. He starts stammering asking where Diya is. Shaurya breaks into amused laughter, seeing the colour drain down Karan’s face at the mention and prospect of Diya being behind him, and finally knowing his reality. He goes inside, while Karan fumes in frustration.

Inside, while Ishaani is busy on the phone, Damini reprimands her for her carelessness in eating. She serves Ishaani juice. Just then, the landline rings, as all sit down to eat. The same rapist, who unfortunately Diya couldn't recognise at the verification, calls up at Urmi’s place. Ishaani takes the phone, and asks who is speaking, and what does he want to talk. He leeringly says that he wants to talk to her, addressing her as darling, and not just talk, but do many more things with her. She is disgusted and boggled, while all others wonder who is she talking to. Anirudh and Damini get tensed while ishaani’s scared. 


A scared Ishaani asks who is talking. The guy says that he is the guy from the posters, and asks if that will help them be caught any way. She is shocked and tensed. Leeringly, he asks her to remember the nightmare that they put her through, or forgot, as they definitely can't. He says that if it's becoming hazy, they can meet again, for reliving old memories. She is tensed at the lewd behaviour. Shaurya and Damini tensedly ask who is it. Karan enters just then too. When Shaurya speaks in the phone, the guy disconnects the call. Ishaani is dazed and they all ask her why is she so scared. Urmi is shocked too. She drinks the water. While tears stream down Ishaani’s cheeks they are all very tensed and worried. She sits down in a state of shock, after having received the call. Shaurya asks her to tell who was it. Ishaani who answers one of the attackers calls informs them that it was the same goons. He asks who. She stammers out of scare and shock, and hesitatingly tells them, and then tells them everything. They are shocked. She says that it was the same person who had done wrong with Diya. Diya hears this from the balcony and is shocked. They ask Ishaani to speak up. She says that he said that they haven't had enough and will come again. She is highly scared and traumatised at the phone call. Urmi along with others are shocked and appalled. He says that it's okay. Damini bluntly says that it's not okay, as her worst fears of threatening calls are coming true, and that the threats are coming for Ishaani now, due to Diya. Shaurya says that the threats were for Diya. Damini asks what if Ishaani is the next target, and asks how is he so engrossed, that he can forget about his sister, Ishaani for the sake of that girl, Diya. Shaurya protests that he cares for his sister. Damini says that if he is so concerned, then Diya should be out of the house, and it isn't her concern, where she stays, whether she goes to hell, or better yet dies even. They are outraged at her callousness. Anirudh asks how can she be so cruel to Diya, and where would she go in such a time, where it isn't safe for her at all. Urmi asks her to think about it. Sandhya point out that Diya too is someone’s daughter, just like theirs. Damini says that Diya isn't her daughter, and she only cares for Ishaani, and she doesn't care where Diya goes. She points out to Karan, that he being the fiancee, it's his responsibility to take care of Diya. Karan who sees that he is in a fix is shocked, and says that he can't take Diya, as his mother won't allow him. Damini asks him to go and convince then, as she doesn't care, if Diya is in his house or on the roads, but she won't stay in their house. Diya steps down saying that she is right, as she wouldn't want anything to happen to the house or Ishaani due to her, and that she will leave. Damini snidely thanks her. Karan asks what's she saying, and where would she go. Diya comes to him, and begs him to take her, while he is irritated, saying that she will convince and beg his mother to take her anyhow. She then turns to Ishaani, asking her not to be afraid as nothing would happen to her. She assures her that they have supported her immensely and she can't become the reason for their problems. Urmi comes there and asks her to stop, and then is again adamant, that Diya won't go anywhere, as her going out, after the threats isn't safe at all. Diya says that she can't stay here and pose a threat to Ishaani. Anirudh finally stands up and speaks that she won't go anywhere, and Shaurya is right. He says that for humanitarian sake, and for the safety and security of Diya, she is welcome to stay here as long as she wants. Damini taunts and claps them for their selfless service to Diya, and asks what about Ishaani. Anirudh says that he cares for everyone, and till he is here, nothing would happen to anyone, as he too loves Ishaani as much as she does. He adds that he will arrange for police protection, and that no-one needs to be scared as they can't stop living, due to some petty goons. He asks Diya not to go anywhere, as she needn't be scared and she can always stay in their house. Karan is immensely relieved. He asks Diya not to be bothered by anyone, and asks if she trusts him. She breaks into tears and complies. He assures her that all would be right. He then turns to Ishaani and gets on composing and assuring her too, who is visibly traumatised. He cites her as his brave girl, and asks how can she be weak, when her grandpa is there. Damini eyes Urmi and Diya angrily.


While in her room, Diya remembers Ishaani’s phone call and Damini’s retaliation, and the discussion that ensued. Just then, Shaurya and Chiku come in laughing and guffawing. Shaurya asks Chiku to do it again for Diya. They try and cheer her up. She resignedly asks what happened. Chiku says that he had a breakup. She tries to follow the link, as Shaurya talks about Chiku’s various hilarious breakup, where the girlfriend took revenge by posting pictures of Chiku dressed as a girl. This causes Diya to laugh, and they revel and enjoy seeing her happy after so long. Shaurya gets emotional seeing her happy. Chiku is relieved too.

Meanwhile, on the roof, Urmi calls the police and asks if there are any developments, and then talks about the threat calls. She asks them to catch the culprits soon, and the police takes it on the ego of the police department, and assures her that soon they will be nabbed. Shaurya comes there and Urmi tells him everything, adding that it feels they will have to follow up. He takes this responsibility on himself, saying that they can also print the pictures in their AWAZ newspaper. She asks about Diya, and he talks about her laughing. They are both happy for her, and hope that everything is okay soon.

At the Police Station and AWAZ’s office, Shaurya is prompt and diligent in his follow up with the police, about any whereabouts or leads in Diya’s case. In the office, Shaurya instructs the employees, that the sketch will continue to be printed till the goons are nabbed. He is highly thorough with his follow up from the newspaper and the police too. Many days pass. One evening, Shaurya waits in the police station, while the inspector begins to get irritated with him and his pestering. He asks him not to be here so much, as his pestering won't help them catch the goons. Shaurya says that it's been 23 days, and he is no closer to finding a single clue, and asks how long would they take. The inspector shamelessly says that they haven't been able to. Shaurya asks how and what effort are they putting in. The inspector says that they are doing their work, but maybe they have left the town. He asks if he found a clue through the newspaper. Shaurya says that it's his effort, but for the police, it's their duty, and he is answerable to them for that. The police asks if he is reminding them their duty. Shaurya says that he would remind him, if need be, and it's due to this attitude, that the police is being degraded these days. He assures him that the minute he gets any information, he will tell him. Shaurya resignedly leaves, in a huff.

At Urmi’s residence, Shaurya comes inside, and finds the entire house in darkness. He hollers as to why the lights are off. He then starts shouting for his mother Urmi, Ishaani asking where everyone is, seemingly worried now, as no-one responds back. Suddenly the lights go on, and all wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Ishaani gets a cake for him, and asks him to cut the cake. But since he is so frustrated, for their safety, he screams at Ishaani and asks her to shut up. Ishaani is hurt and boggled. All others are surprised too at this reaction while Shaurya’s angry.


Shaurya lashes out terribly at Ishaani, saying that she doesn't care about the environment in the house, and says isn't she mature enough to understand that he wouldn't want to celebrate the birthday. Anirudh asks him why is he overreacting, as it's just a small celebration. He lashes out saying that he doesn't want, as he is sick and frustrated of running after the police, and doesn't feel like celebrating. He says that Ishaani should understand this. Anirudh tells him that Ishaani went to great lengths to organise this. Shaurya says so what, after what happened to Diya, he doesn't need anything, Alok says that its understandable that he is stressed, but he doesn't need to be angry like this. Urmi asks him to calm down too and asks him to take a look at Ishaani. He finds Ishaaani sulking and in tears. Urmi says that they can enjoy a little. Shaurya calms down a little, and then apologises to her, saying that he vented out his frustration on her. Shaurya's obsession with Diya's case creates a rift between him and Ishaani as she dumps the cake on the floor, in aggression, and leaves. Shaurya apologises, but she rushes to her room. Anirudh is upset too with his behavior. Damini however evilly smiles. Shaurya collapses on the floor disappointed and all are tensed.
