Prof. Greg Nwakoby Emerges New Vice Chancellor of COOU

Professor Gregory C. Nwakoby has emerged as the new Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, COOU, (formerly Anambra State University)



Prof Nwakoby hails from Nkwelle Ezunanka in Oyi L.G.A of Anambra State. He replaced Prof. Fidelis Okafor.

He is expected to resume as Vice Chancellor of the institution on 11th March, 2018.

Recall that Prof. Nwakoby emerged the VC of Nnamdi Azikiwe University in 2014 before being dumped by the institution's governing council for Prof. Ahaneku. He accused the governing council of bribery which they refuted in an official statement, noting that Nwakoby won in the "interview segment" while Ahaneku won through "shortlisting".
