The Founder, Afa Igbo Efuna, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, has joined the entire Igbo nation, as well as well-meaning Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora to congratulate and celebrate the late Ikemba of Nnewi, Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu over the Silverbird Posthumous Award conferred on him.
In a statement personally signed by him on Saturday, Dr. Ubah, said, "I am delighted to join the entire Igbo nation and all well meaning Nigerians to congratulate and celebrate Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu’s Silverbird Posthumous Award commemoration which is set out to distinguish and honour various individuals who in their lifetime made colossal impacts in building Nigeria within and beyond the shores of the nation.
"Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu won the respect of the entire nation with his formidable contributions to the growth and development of “One Nigeria”, particularly with the reunification and solid reintegration of Igbo people into the indivisible nation called Nigeria. His greatness, resilience and commitment to nation building was unsurpassed as he possessed the confidence that comes with conviction, the vigour that comes with character and the grace that comes with humility.
"Many of us are immensely thankful to Ikemba Nnewi for ensuring that the Igbo people pursued a monumental agenda to sustain the existence of the Ndigbo and Nigeria at large. Ojukwu lived a life filled with such deeds as legends are made of."
