Obiano appoints Stanel oil boss, 7 others as board members of Golden Tulip Hotels

The governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Mmaduabuchukwu Obiano has appointed and inaugurated 8-member governing board to man the affairs of Golden Tulip Hotels Agulu.


In March 2017, the Anambra State government under the administration of His Excellency, Chief Willie Obiano had handed over the management of Agulu Lake Hotel to Golden Tulip West Africa Limited for effective and efficient running of day-to-day business activities of the hotel.

In his inaugural address, Gov. Obiano congratulated the appointees and charged them to serve Anambra with the best of their abilities. The governor particularly recognized the youngest board member, Chairman of Stanel Group, Mr Stanley Uzochukwu whom he described as a “business expert” and a “man with a golden finger.” He said whatever business Uzochukwu ventures into flourishes, hence, he has considered him a member of the board irrespective of his age. He said the appointment was based on his mighty business mind, landmark and blueprint in Anambra State economy.

The members of the governing board are made up of successful business experts who have wealth of experience and also made tremendous landmarks in different fields of human endeavours. They include a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and chairman of the Board, Prof. Charles Soludo, Chief Executive Officer of Golden Tulip West Africa Limited, Mr Amaechi Ndili (member), Managing Director of ANSIPPA, Chief Joe-Billy Ekwunife (member).

Others include Chief Executive Officer of Stanel Group, Mr. Stanley Uzochukwu (member), Chief Patrick Chidolue (member), Hon. Chriscato Ameke (member), Commissioner for Finance, Mr Ifeatu Onejeme (member), Dr Chike Akunyili and Barr Mrs Ifeyinwa Obegolu (Member)
