Court Releases 475 Boko Haram Terrorists Suspects to Undergo Rehabilitation

The Federal High Court sitting in Niger State, on Friday, freed 475 persons accused of affiliations with Islamic militants Boko Haram, the justice ministry said on Sunday.

The freed suspects are to be sent to the governments of their states of origin to take them through a process of proper rehabilitation.

More than 20,000 people have been killed and two million forced to flee their homes in north-eastern Nigeria since Boko Haram began an insurgency in 2009 aimed at creating an Islamic state.
