The Head of Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), popularly known as Shiite group, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky spoke to the Nigerian media Saturday afternoon for the first time after his arrest by the soldiers.
The Islamic cleric wore a white flowing gown with turban.
El-Zakzaky, in a brief chat with newsmen at an undisclosed location in Abuja, said he was alive and “feeling better.”
His clearance to come out of the heavily guarded building by the Department of State Service (DSS) followed rumours surrounding his whereabouts.
Earlier in the week, there was tension in some states, particularly, Kaduna that Shiites leaderwas deceased.
The DSS, however, decided to prove that he is not dead as being speculated.
