Photos from the 90th Birthday Celebration of Mrs Emereciana Chima Ukachukwu in Anambra.

The 90th birthday celebration of Mrs Emereciana Chima Ukachukwu was held at her country home Ukpor, Anambra state on 31st December 2017.

The event started with a thanksgiving service at St Peter's Catholic church Ukpor, led by Papal Nuncio to Ireland, Archbishop Jude Thaddeus Okolo.

Mrs Emereciana Chima Ukachukwu is from Ihioma in Imo state. Born to Mr and Mrs Peter Ibeh and grew up in Aba, Abia state.

She later got married to Late Sir John Ejikeme Ukachukwu, a community leader.

Mrs Emereciana Ukachukwu is very humble, descent, considerate, and believes in keeping high moral values. She equally agrees with the popular Igbo rhetoric that “Nwa bu Nwa ora and Nne bu Nne ora” which makes her to usually to whoever comes to the house.

Mrs Ukachukwu will always preach peace of mind through forgiveness of enemies. She served her husband perfectly and called him Master up till today, 35 years after his death.

She was known for training newly married women on how best to serve their husbands. When people married newly, they brought their wives to her and lived with her teaching them step by step, scenarios by scenarios and situations by situations on how to serve their husbands and enjoy a peaceful marriage.

Mama believes that a man is the head of the house and in no situation must a woman be having series of quarrels or unnecessary issues with her husband.

Mrs Ukachukwu also believes in equality of rights and privileges in the house, son, daughter, house help are the same. All her house helps and baby sitters became members of the family and no outsider can ever tell the difference.

She cares for the poor and less privileged in the society. She takes it upon herself to call her son, Sir Felix Ukachukwu who lives in Ireland from time to time to tell him about those in need of help in the village. She bears no grudges. Always a happy woman and very contented.
