If you ask me what I want me ideal legislator to be in this 21st century, I would simply tell you that I want him to be effective, to be good.
i would love him to remain true to the fundamental purposes of representative democracy and the legislative system.
The true yardstick for measuring the effectiveness of a legislator are
1. his ability to carry out the functions we expect of him in our democratic system
2. to be able to play his role in the principle of balance of power
and
3. correctly shoulder the responsibilities of representing his constituency and making laws.
Dr Tony Nwoye has shown high level of effectiveness in view of the trio yardstick mentioned above by playing his major roles of providing service to his constituency and constituents.
Just in 2 years, Dr Tony Nwoye's achievements speak for itself.
Below is an account of his stewardship so far
Dr. Tony Nwoye as a member of House of Representatives has done well and performed better than Predecessors comparatively.
Hon Tony Nwoye is only less than 2 years in the House Of Representatives.
The Appeal Tribunal Enugu returned his Stolen mandate on December 2015. Tony was sworn in before the House went on Christmas and New Year's holiday. He began his legislative duties on January 2016.
Despite being a member of the National Assembly for less 2 years, the APC lawmaker has performed tremendously well in view of the fact that he has only participated in the legislation of 2017/18 budgets.
Under one budget circle, he has done so much for his constituency ...
some of which include:
1. Solar powered borehole at Nneyi Umueri
2. 15 solar poles solar light at Umueri Otuocha ward2..
3. 15 poles solar light at Igbariam

2. Facilitated Uuniversity admission and payment of school fees for more than 27 youths.
3. Empowered 135 Youths on April last year for self employment.
In less than 2 years, Tony Nwoye has helped and facilitated employment of over 20 persons.
in his constituency.
The Communities that benefited are
Umuoba Anam- 4 persons. (3persons into NPF as cadets officers, 1 person employed at the federal ministry of Education..)
2. Igbariam - 2 persons employed into the federal civil service commission.
3. Nando - 2 persons
4. Umueri - 3 persons
5. Aguleri - 1 person.
6. Oroma & Umuikwu - 6 persons.
The APC law maker also influenced the ongoing construction of Anam/Igala/Kogi State federal road.
He pressurised Fashola and brought the attention of FMW to the plight of commuters in the Enugu-Onitsha express highway. Work is ongoing at the Enugu axis, while Umunya -Amawbia Axis will take off by November.
If Dr Tony Nwoye can do this in just 2 years, gentlemen, he can be trusted to do more in the next 2 years .
His predecessors has no projects in every community , Tony Nwoye has projects in almost every community in his constituency.
The last Governorship election has come and gone and Hon.Dr Tony Nwoye in the spirit of brotherhood and sportsmanship congratulated his brother Obiano...and pledged to work with him to move Anambra forward, therefore I enjoin all to support him with love and prayers to enable him attract more federal projects/jobs and improve the welfare and human resources of his constituency and Anambra in general.
