"Human beings, being competitive and egocentric by nature can't help but always compete with each other"
Since after the concluded Anambra poll which saw Gov. Willie Obiano on the strength of the "Afa Igbo Efuna" initiative secure a resounding victory, I have had difficult time settling down to write.
Adjudged the most peaceful and credible, the recently concluded poll has come and gone, but not without separating winners from losers.
As expected, pre-election issues which included undue pressure faced by the incumbent, the choice of which candidate to support, the political party to identify with, the role of media, candidate imposition and godfatherism alongside stage managed primary elections helped shaped a narrative which produced "the winners and losers".
Following the unprecedented landslide recorded by APGA in the 21 Local Governments Areas that make up Anambra State, winners see the gain; losers see more pain.
Although APGA was earlier written off in the proposed gubernatorial election, "the new ideas and emergence of "Afa Igbo Efuna" powered by Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah and the "Nkea Bu Nkeanyi" philosophy promptly returned the APGA on the path to victory."
In unity of "Afa Igbo Efuna", Ndi-Anambra have regained their voice by disapointing many pundits at the end of the poll.
We quite know there are times when you need to compete and more importantly need to win. Ndi-Anambra competed and won against those who sees themselves as the rightful owners of the state. This shows that all politics is local.
In unionism, "Afa Igbo Efuna and Nkea Bu Nkeanyi" had goals going into the election, some were simple others were difficult to attain, it took hardwork and dedication to win.
Losers only competed against themselves to get where they wanted to be. In the process, they became part of their very own problem today, political tsunami of "Ifeanyu Ubah" has taken place.
In Anambra, winners see the gain; losers see the pain.
