Three Nigerian soldiers were killed and 6 seriously injured Saturday night as Boko Haram militants traveling in 7 gun trucks attacked a Nigerian army "Forward Base" in Magumeri 32 kilometers from Maiduguri.
According to Saharareporters, the Boko Haram militants briefly occupied the town after arriving there at 10:20 pm Nigerian time.
The militants were later dislodged by a reinforcement of troops from the Nigerian Army 5th Brigade.
The militant fled with an Army gun truck and ammunition looted from the armoury of the base.
