The Federal High Court, Abuja presided over by Hon. Justice J.A. Tsoho has adjourned till the 8th day of December, 2017 in the suit filed by Martin Agbaso challenging the nomination of His Excellency, Chief Willie Obiano as the candidate of APGA for the gubernatorial election in Anambra State.
The adjournment followed the request by the counsel to Martin Agbaso for time to react to the applications filed by the respondents counsel (INEC & Chief Willie Obiano) challenging the jurisdiction of the court to entertain the suit. At the hearing of the suit, the 2nd Respondent's team led by Chief Wole Olanikpekun SAN had filed a Motion on Notice challenging the jurisdiction of the court to hear and determine the suit. INEC equally filed a similar application before the court.
More so, the National Chairman of APGA, Ozonkpu Dr. Victor Oye, through his counsel Prof Onyechi Ikpeazu SAN, further filed an application for joinder in the said suit. With the adjournment till the 8th of December, Chief Willie Obiano remains the indisputable candidate of APGA for the 18th November governorship election in Anambra state!!!
