Twist of fate is a story of a woman running a marriage hall, hoping that one day her two daughters will happily get married.

It turns to be a twist when Abhi married pragya, although they never loved each other but pragya later started loving Abhi.  Abhi never cares, and tortures her as she wants to marry Tanu but married pragya for revenge. Later on we saw that Abhi have started falling in love with pragya.
Alia also falls for purab and purab loves her as well but purab lives her on the wedding day.

Bulbul also never loved purab but she later fall in love with him as they were on the mission to unite Abhi and pragya, they fall for each other,their romance was OK as well.

On the birthday party of Bulbul, pragya was kidnapped instead of Bulbul and this made Abhi to start looking for pragya. Later Abhi found pragya where she has been kept and rescued her, now their love is now increasing but they never confessed their love to each other. Alia on her side is also a strong villain who makes her way with money to get what she wants.

When Abhi and pragya escaped the kidnappers den, Abhi get shot by the cooperator  and pragya take care of him,  and it's that time that pragya finally confessed his love to Abhi by saying I love you. Later, they are back home, everyone was happy and Tanu saw the chemistry between Abhi and pragya and was jealous. And a twist occurred when Tanu became pregnant for another man and told pragya that the baby is of Abhi and by this time Abhi wants to confess his love to pragya but pragya did not want to listen.

Later pragya found out that the baby is of Nikhil and not Abhi and this leads her to exposing her husband enemies.  This time of Tanu's pregnancy and pragya new out look from a local to classic look, millions of people glued their eyes to twist of fate as this took a hit in the market that everyone wants to watch it to know how Tanu was exposed.

Pragya disguised her self to villain lady as Abhi used to call him with the help of Abhi's grandma. Although that everyone in the family now hates her but Abhi still loves her even the torture. The evidence of exposing Tanu's pregnancy lasted for 8 months. Another thing that makes  peoples interested in Twist of fate is because of Abhi's quarrelling with pragya, they quarrel like cat and dog but after all fighting and quarrelling they end it with a romantic eye lock and Bandeya background song and also how Nikhil was introduced in the scene making things worse and how Tanu formulated lies, how Alia made her way through money and how pragya's team destroys their evil plans.

Another twist happened again when Abhi knows all the truth about his enemies but he lost his memory. Alia and Tanu wants to use this chance and get Abhi  married to Tanu but with his memory loss,  he still loves pragya.  Finally he regained back his memory and married pragya again.

Another twist again occurred when pragya was shot and declared dead but was not dead, Alia and Tanu plant pragya's look alike in Abhi's life which is munni and they keep on piloting their evil plans and none of the family members knows this including Abhi. Along the line munni falls in love with Abhi. A twist occurs again when munni left the house and the real pragya enters the house without Tanu and Alia knowing this. Abhi and pragya shares a romantic moment and Tanu was jealous seeing how munni will take Abhi from her now that pragya is dead not knowing that the real pragya is still alive and have taken back her husband Abhi.

With so many twist, that's why twist of fate is one of the most popular TV series and this series rouse many of the characters (actors and actresses) to fame, more especially Abhi and pragya. Others of which were purab, Bulbul, Alia, Tanu,  and others.  Abhi and pragya has been winning best couple award since the show started off in 2014 till now, Tanu also second wife unmarried award, kumkum bhagya best story and other awards...
