Nigeria has qualified for the 2018 World cup in Russia after beating Zambia in Uyo stadium.
This is the first time Nigeria qualified for a major tournament with a game to spare in near three decades of active participation in world's most popular football exhibition. Previous qualifiers have made amateur mathematicians out of Nigeria football lovers; with the elderly scrambling to learn permutation and combination at old age.
The Super Eagles have delivered a message of hope to a nation battered by hate, corruption and ethnic tension. This nation can work if we put behind obvious fault-lines, hold one another's hand and take a step forward.
Russia 2018 here we come! Bring on the Brazil, the Belgium, France and Germany of this world, the Super Eagles are ready for them. Congratulations to all of us; NFF, players and fans of the national team.
