[OPINION] The Gameplay As Being Executed By Northern Cabal, By Magnus Oraka

Everyday I come to this platform ranting about the evil machinations of the northern caliphate or cabal and most times, my antagonists feel my rantings are buoyed by the loss of my hero's, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, second bid to becoming the President. But this, my friends, is far from it. I am instead weighed down by the burden of knowledge of how things work here in the far north.

Everything you see happening in the polity today as being played out by the northern cabal has been a well scripted gameplay designed well before now. The actions you see now is not one of on-the-spot calculation as many are erroneously concluding.

Let's take this plot from the beginning. In 2015, the northern cabal felt strongly that power MUST shift to them or the country will become "ungovernable". At the time too they controlled the media through their favorite ally, the Yorubas. They also knew very well that should Gej win his second Presidential bid, that may drive the final nail into the coffin of the power ambition of the cabal. Their gameplay here then was simple - hang Gej, and what better way to achieve this other than to give the Jonathan administration a bad name of "massive looting and widespread corruption".

In 2015, the only name the cabal had to wrest power away from Jonathan was Buhari. Again with the help of the Yoruba media, the cabal was able to build a strong goodwill of integrity, faultless, no-nonsense persona around Buhari qualifying him subsequently as a "Saint". But the cabal had a problem with a Buhari choice for president. Buhari was becoming too old for the game of politics. They knew very well that Buhari in his state of health and age may not live through his tenure but they prayed this scenario never play out - but it did.

You see my friends, the best way to understand and play the brand of politics the cabal is playing is to toss your academic orientation under the bed and approach this politics game, as played by the cabal, with an unadulterated mind filled with innocence of the street. This is why our southern politicians often get shortchanged in every political scheming played by the cabal.

When Buhari went to London to battle with his undisclosed ailment and it was becoming obvious that his health was becoming challenging, the cabal knew that what they feared most was about to play out and possibly with power once again slipping through their fingers. But that they believed was never going to happen.

Ever wondered why the frail looking Buhari who could barely walk, read, speak, listen with a failed left ear has suddenly become so energetic and strong enough to run for 2019 presidential race without his health challenges? You see my friends, we have allowed our academic intellectuality to skew our reasoning to always view occurring phenomena as it will be in an ideal situation. That is why most of our over bloated professors from the south find themselves prone to sounding stupidly correct at most times.

There is a strange rumour of a certain "Jubril of Sudan" touted as impersonating the president of Nigeria. To the very educated, this is a big laugh. To me, this is a serious angle with a strong merit to be considered. No one is considering if this is not a card played by the cabal in this political conspiracy?  The only people, as far as I can see, who understand the political artistry of the cabal are the ordinary man on the street. They are not the professors and the grandiloquent wannabes. They can therefore appreciate the possibility of the cabal switching their president.

Let's ask ourselves, did the Buhari that contested the presidential election in 2015 looked like one who will contest in 2019? If your answer is "No" then ask, where is the apparent confidence of the agitation of Buhari 2019 coming from?

Please know that this cabal is willing to do anything, and I mean just anything, to keep power for the caliphate.

Where then do we go from here? You decide!
