Many Nigerians including the former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, have lashed out at President Muhammadu Buhari, after it emerged that he told the World Bank president, Kim Yong Jim, to concentrate on Northern Nigeria only.
In a series of tweets on Friday morning, Fani-Kayode claimed Buhari sees Nigerians from the South and Middle Belt as “low-lifes, vassals and slaves”.
He wrote: “President of the World Bank, Kim Yong Jim, has said that @MBuharitold him to concentrate their efforts on northern Nigeria.
“Why am I not surprised? After all as far as@MBuhari is concerned southern Nigerians and Middle Belters are nothing but low-lifes, vassals and slaves.”

Chukwudi Iwuchukwu wrote: "This bombshell released by the world bank this morning is worrying and disturbing.
What Buhari did is akin to Trump telling World Bank to focus on whites alone and ignore black Americans.
Trust me, the day Trump tries that kind of expensive joke is the day he will be impeached by the congress.
If Nigeria is to be a sane country, Buhari's impeachment would have started this morning but it can't happen because we are a nation of
tribalist and ethnic champions.
To know that educated people are still supporting this bigot of a leader is truly what I don't understand why they do that.
Muhammad Buhari is a disgrace and mistake Nigerians should never make again."
Ugochukwu Okezie wrote: "Well, a little bit too late. Unfortunately, we have to wait till 2023 to get rid of him.
The same thing will happen when a new president emerges.
A southern president will be impeached if he focuses on the south and tries a quarter of what Buhari has done.
A northern president is at liberty to do as he wishes to the detriment of other regions.
The south dare not to protest or demand for a better deal else they will be visited by the fiery pythons and their kins in the north will be endangered.
It is a catch-22 really for the south.
Restructure this thing now!"
Oluchi Onyeanu: "Buhari is a fundamentalist, a tribalist, a terrorist and doesn't believe in one Nigeria so why deceiving ourselves. He's not fit and proper to be a president of a country that has these diversity...
It well sha.....The north have used the oil wealth to build Abuja and nothing in the south south and you're still saying development should be concentrated in the North. Well it's natural that arm robbers doesn't have conscience.....😏😏"
Joyce Ugokwe: "It's very heartbreaking that this man said this kind of thing. He's the worst human on earth. No wonder almost all governmental and non governmental jobs are all focused in the North. I always wonder each time I open job websites."
Ufuoma Bernard: "Strong language from a brandist who's supposed to be non partisan but objective and logical. Whatever the world bank president said about Buhari shouldn't elicit such blanket damnation of the man. It's killing an ant with a sledgehammer. This is why. Buhari is a politician and you should know this and every politician worth his salt has his strongholds and in this instance the North is his stronghold where he commands a cult following. Shouldn't he lobby for his stronghold? It's politics. GEJ is without strongholds today but plays puerile politics because of this infraction. GEJ was an accidental president without grassroots organization unlike Buhari. GEJ couldn't attract projects to the South for six years in the saddle. Oh! you expected Buhari to lobby the World Bank for projects in the East where people like you won't let him be? Gosh!"
Samuel Ekiyor: "It's a good lesson to all Nigerians that supported this mistake called bubu the brainless...next time they see a Gej they would worship him"
