Fani-Kayode, Other Nigerians Blast Buhari For Telling World Bank To Focus On Northern Nigeria

Many Nigerians including the former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, have lashed out at President Muhammadu Buhari, after it emerged that he told the World Bank president, Kim Yong Jim, to concentrate on Northern Nigeria only.


In a series of tweets on Friday morning, Fani-Kayode claimed Buhari sees Nigerians from the South and Middle Belt as “low-lifes, vassals and slaves”.

He wrote: “President of the World Bank, Kim Yong Jim, has said that @MBuharitold him to concentrate their efforts on northern Nigeria.

“Why am I not surprised? After all as far as@MBuhari is concerned southern Nigerians and Middle Belters are nothing but low-lifes, vassals and slaves.”

What Buhari did is akin to Trump telling World Bank to focus on whites alone and ignore black Americans.

Trust me, the day Trump tries that kind of expensive joke is the day he will be impeached by the congress.

The same thing will happen when a new president emerges.

A southern president will be impeached if he focuses on the south and tries a quarter of what Buhari has done.

A northern president is at liberty to do as he wishes to the detriment of other regions.

The south dare not to protest or demand for a better deal else they will be visited by the fiery pythons and their kins in the north will be endangered.

It is a catch-22 really for the south.

Restructure this thing now!"

Whatever the world bank president said about Buhari shouldn't elicit such blanket damnation of the man. It's killing an ant with a sledgehammer. This is why. Buhari is a politician and you should know this and every politician worth his salt has his strongholds and in this instance the North is his stronghold where he commands a cult following. Shouldn't he lobby for his stronghold? It's politics. GEJ is without strongholds today but plays puerile politics because of this infraction.
