I Will Use 127 Million Naira Blackmail Damages To Fund Training Of Journalists – Imo Chief Of Staff

The Chief of Staff to Imo state governor, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu has disclosed that he will be using the 127 Million Naira a court ordered a serial blackmailer and publisher of a newspaper to pay him for criminally defaming his character, to fund the training of journalists for international best practices.

The Chief aide to the governor who told his close associates that he did not go to court as a form of vendetta against the young man, but as his own little contribution to sanitizing the journalism profession, as a lot of quacks and half baked gatecrashers are hell bent on dragging that revered profession to the mud as a result of their involvement in partisan politics and keenness on material things.

The real estate mogul turned politician is said to have insisted that not a dime of the money will go into any other usage but will be channeled to training, retraining and empowering journalists from Imo and across Nigeria on the ethics of the noble profession.
