Appeal Court Judgement: Anambra Central Set To Get A Senator

By Charles Ifeanyi Obi

Reports from the Appeal Court Headquarter Abuja confirmed that the turbulence in Anambra Central Senatorial Zone is set to settle as the Appellate Court Abuja extensively entertained the litigations bedevilling the conduct of the Anambra Central rerun election and has concluded hearing on the matter setting aside a date yet to be communicated for judgment.

According to eye witnesses account, Mr Harrison Madubueze reported the highly contested legal battle thus:

“The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has in the past 3 hours entertained the litigation hindering the INEC from the conduct of the Anambra Central Senatorial election re-run.

“It was quite a disgraceful outing for the enemies of democracy as all efforts on ground to arrest the proceeding of the hearing were all struck out in favour of Chief Sir Victor Umeh and INEC by feasibly ready 3 man panel of Judges of the Court of Appeal.

“Judgement was however reserved on a date to be announced.

“Our experience today was seriously enlarged as what we had in court today was nothing that obviously calls for the glorification of God of  the victorious victor  and APGA“

While we the innocent citizens of Anambra Central are worried about the damages caused by the unjustifiable protraction of the matter at the courts, we once again uphold confidence on the judiciary knowing full well that in the wisdom of the court and its high integrity and (supposed) incorruptibility, the judgement would be just, acceptable and consistent with the law.

At the same time we congratulate the most enduring citizens of Anambra Central on the reassurance of hope and as well appeal that they remain conscious of the noble course that informs the candidacy of Chief Sir Victor Umeh OFR (Ohamadike Ndigbo) even as he remains resilient in using his chances at the senate to boldly and courageously speak for the economic and political emancipation of Ndi Igbo in Nigeria.
