In less than 24 hours upon its release on Friday, September 8, "Highest", the 5th studio album from Rapper Sarkodie, one of Africa's biggest rappers, was dominating iTunes album charts globally, with groundbreaking chart positions across iTunes charts in America, United Kingdom, Germany, Canada and Switzerland among others.
Upon release, the Highest album shot to the top of the iTunes album charts in Ghana, and landed the No.2 spot on the iTunes album charts in Nigeria. The album also reached the top 20 on the iTunes Hip-Hop/Rap album charts in both the UK and US, landing at No.13 and No.17 respectively. In other parts of the world, the album gained massive strides as well, reaching the top 30 on the iTunes Hip-Hop/Rap album charts in Canada and Switzerland.
